Royal Asscher
Since its founding in 1854, Royal Asscher has a long history with royalty, often designing pieces for the Crown Jewels collection. Now, one of Royal Asscher’s designers—Canadian jewelry designer Reena Ahluwalia—sketched a tiara for Middleton. “This tiara is set with 36 Royal Asscher-cut diamonds, as well as pear and round shaped white diamonds,” said Ahluwalia. “The tiara is placed on the forehead, which is inspired by 1920s style and the Strathmore Rose Tiara placement. We have imbued our tiara with romance and wishes for love that is long-lasting. Flowers and buds represent nature's most beautiful creations and here they symbolize the blossomed love between Kate and Prince William.”
