For Margulies, keeping her curls in check is all about keeping frizz to a minimum. "When I want it down, I use a curling iron to get rid of the frizz but keep the curl," she said. "The lucky thing about having curly hair is that it's like clay—you can mold it and get it to do whatever you want. It just reacts beautifully to heat, which it why it's so easy to straighten or just keep curly."
