"I wanted her to be in teal for that scene, because blues are Betty's character's colors," Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant said of this wool shirtwaist dress, which she designed. "I love the femininity of it for this scene. It's the moment when Sally comes home. It's about Betty being motherly to Sally and her embrace. The design of the dress is quite maternal."
