When Adam Scott’s Ben tied the knot with Amy Poehler‘s Leslie on Parks and Recreation this season, Scott acted like a true husband-to-be. “I got no input on [Amy’s] wedding dress, but she looked really beautiful,” Scott told InStyle.com at Milk + Bookies 4th Annual Story Time Celebration. He did cheat on one traditional detail though: He peeked at her white lace frock, complete with a pleated paper skirt that chronicled her government career, before Poehler walked down the aisle. “I did get to see it beforehand,” and added, “I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. It was like being at a wedding. It was crazy.” And romantic! Tune in to see a new episode of Parks and Rec tonight at 8:30 pm EST on NBC.

Olivia Wilde got engaged to Saturday Night Live funnyman Jason Sudeikis in January, and so far, the wedding plans are still in the very early stages—think: non-existent. “I wish I did [have plans],” the actress told us at last night’s New York launch of Half the Sky Movement: The Game, a Facebook game that helps empower women and girls. “Right now, I’m just enjoying being engaged.” The dress, the honeymoon, and the ceremony location are all still to be determined, she said—though “a New York wedding would be ideal”—citing a very good reason for her play-by-play planning delay. “I haven’t had time to think about it,” she said. “We’ve been too busy. But we’re very lucky to be busy, so that’s the other side of it.”

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge attended the wedding of close friends Mark Tomlinson and Laura Bechtolsheimer in the Swiss Alps this weekend, and she dug into her closet for just the right look. The mom-to-be chose a camel coat, buttoned at the collar with a fur stole. For her topper—she wears a hat to every wedding she goes to—she accessorized with the same bow-topped Lock & Co. pillbox hat she wore to present the Irish Guard with shamrocks last St. Patrick’s Day. Pearl earrings and a black clutch completed the look, as she enjoyed the ceremony with Princes William and Harry by her side.

Christina Applegate married her longtime sweetheart, musician Martyn LeNoble, over the weekend during a private ceremony at their home in Los Angeles. The bride wore a gown by Maria Lucia Hohan, and a particularly sparkly accessory on her left ring finger thanks to jewelry designer Neil Lane, the multi-diamond ring shown at right, which matched the groom’s hand-made platinum wedding band, also shown. “We took her engagement ring and fit it in a sleeve of little diamonds to become one with the wedding band,” Lane told InStyle.com. “It’s platinum and diamond inset with tiny little diamonds everywhere. The diamond ring has a border of diamonds around it like a sleeve.” Lane also extended his congratulations to the happy couple: “It was just the right time for them. They’re a very happy couple. There is a great deal of love between them.”
