The Olympics Closing Ceremony—dubbed A Symphony of British Music—brought about many “really?!” moments, and one of our favorites was Jessie J’s leave-nothing-to-the-imagination wardrobe. The 24-year-old songstress, who is as famous for her hit “Price Tag” as she is for penning the lyrics to hits by Miley Cyrus and her quirky wardrobe, wore two curve-hugging asymmetrical bodysuits from the archive of British designer Vivienne Westwood. “Tonight is a night to always remember and never forget,” she tweeted after belting out her Top 40 song, and renditions of The Bee Gees’ “You Should Be Dancing” and Queen’s “We Will Rock You.” Her single-sleeve, single-leg looks are definitely memorable! Tell us, what do you think of her finale wardrobe: Love it or leave it?

After 16 days, the 2012 Olympics came to an end in London last night with a Brit-centric closing ceremony that included one mega British fashion moment! The most famous faces to ever come from the United Kingdom joined together to strut down a stadium-size, Union Jack-shaped runway to the tune of David Bowie’s “Fashion.” (Fashion! Turn to the left! Fashion! Turn to the right! We are the goon squad, and we’re coming to town!) Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell (both in Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen) led Lily Cole (in Erdem), Lily Donaldson (in Vivienne Westwood), Georgia May Jagger (in Victoria Beckham), and more, all wearing glittering gold gowns designed by the country’s famous fashion houses. Click through the gallery for all the details on the closing ceremony’s model moment. (Next stop, Rio! The Brazilians better bring it! Gisele, that means you.)
With all the gorgeous jewelry spotted on the red carpet, we’re often left wondering, where does it go? That’s what we asked Dita Von Teese when we caught up with her at Vivienne Westwood’s store opening in Los Angeles last night. “I designed a special edition jewel box for Cointreau [liquor],” Von Teese (in a Vivienne Westwood dress and Philip Treacy hat) told us. “I keep my jewelry in there, but I have a really big collection of jewelry, so I also took picture frames and padded them with red velvet and I pin all the brooches on it, so they make wall art.” What a crafty idea! Click through the gallery to see the rest of the Westwood party-goers—including Malin Akerman, Anna Kendrick, and Christina Hendricks, the face of Westwood’s Get a Life Palladium jewelry collection—and read some of their jewelry-storing tricks, too.

Celebrities have caught on to cobalt! Demi Moore wore the blue hue when she attended the Costume Designers Guild Awards in a strapless Vivienne Westwood gown last month, while Olivia Munn stepped out this weekend in an electric blue Marchesa dress belted with a matching sash. Abbie Cornish showed up to last week’s Sucker Punch premiere in a cobalt Amanda Wakeley frock, and Dita Von Teese stopped by Perez Hilton’s birthday bash on Saturday in a sequined Jenny Packham number. Would you wear this bold color? Tell us in the comments!
Christina Hendricks recently lent her face to Vivienne Westwood’s new Get a Life jewelry collection, and the campaign is finally out! The Mad Men star posed in jewel-tone dresses, a dramatic gold headpiece, and an engraved Palladium heart pendant. And this may not be the only place you’ll see Hendricks in the baubles—the actress told The Telegraph: “The pieces really sparkle under the lights and I cannot wait to wear them on the red carpet.” See more Vivienne Westwood jewelry at VivienneWestwood.co.uk. London Fashion Week took over the fashion world last weekend. Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth sat front and center at the Burberry fashion show, which ended with real snow falling from the ceiling. Stylish Brits Kate Moss and Alexa Chung both stopped by LFW festivities as well, as did one of New York’s most stylish socialites, Olivia Palermo. Issa designer Daniella Helayel, one of Kate Middleton’s favorites, showed her latest collection, along with Matthew Williamson, Vivienne Westwood, and Mulberry (shown left). Check out all of London Fashion Week’s style, celebrities, beauty and more by clicking through the gallery.
Helena Bonham Carter caused some eyebrow-raising when she showed up to the Golden Globe Awards last month wearing mismatched shoes with her Vivienne Westwood dress (shown). But at the Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon yesterday in Beverly Hills, she promised that won’t happen again. “I want to have fun,” said Carter of dressing for the awards show, where she is nominated this year for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The King’s Speech. “It’s going to probably be a catastrophe. But I’m going to go for it. I promise you, I’ll wear the same color shoes. But we’ll see.” Tune in to InStyle.com all of our Oscars night-of coverage Sunday, February 27th.
