The X Factor’s New Hosts: Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez

FOX just named the new hosts for The X Factor—Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian Odom! “I’m a huge fan of the show,” Kardashian Odom wrote on her blog. “I’m thrilled, overjoyed and of course a little nervous about this new step in my career, and I can’t wait to get to get started.” This proves just how much producer and judge Simon Cowell loves larger-than-life personalities, as he also recruited pop stars Demi Lovato and Britney Spears as judges this season. As for the hosts’ experience, Lopez is an experienced host with gigs on Extra and America’s Best Dance Crew, though we’re not sure how Odom’s experience as a reality TV star will translate. Hopefully, they’ll both strike up banter with Cowell reminiscent of his days sparring with American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest. The X Factor live shows begin Thursday, November 1st at 8 p.m. EST.

Tonight’s the night! Britney Spears fans everywhere have had this day marked on their calendars for months, anticipating her debut as a judge on The X Factor. With the new gig, Brit Brit is out to prove she hasn’t lost it—and she’s one step (or gallop!) closer to that goal with her latest appearance on Ellen. The pop star had tweeted her love for the Gangman dance, Korean performer Psy’s viral dance craze video (which currently has more than 150 million views!), and when Ellen got wind of it, she invited both of them onto her show so Britney could officially learn the boogie. Khloe Kardashian may be adding the role of X-Factor host to her resume! The star expressed her interest in hosting the show in August, and after auditioning and completing a screen test, Kardashian is one of the front-runners among potential candidates, TMZ reports. The show’s producers have yet to reveal their decision, but we’re excited at the thought of her sharing the stage with Demi Lovato and Britney Spears, not to mention the hilarious banter bound to happen between her and Simon Cowell.
