Joe Manganiello is famous for his biceps, triceps, and all those other ‘ceps—he’s even writing a fitness book to share all his workout tips! And considering that bikini season is just around the corner, we pulled the True Blood star (in Hugo Boss) aside at Muhammad Ali’s Celebrity Fight Night Founder’s Club Dinner in Phoenix this weekend to ask: What’s on his workout playlist? “Metal! Lately, we’ve been doing a combination of either [Pandora's] Metallica channel or the Audio Slave channel,” Manganiello told InStyle.com. “Those give you all of that 90′s music—like Sound Garden, Alice in Chains stuff. It pumps you up.” Aren’t you pumped just thinking about it? Summer, here we come!

Joy to the World: True Blood’s Joe Manganiello to Release Fitness Book (and Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Helping!)

How is Joe Manganiello prepping for swimsuit season? By putting pen to paper! The True Blood hunk announced last week that he plans to release a book all about fitness this holiday season, and he gave us more details about his journey into self-help at the 10th annual John Varvatos Stuart House Benefit this weekend. “[The book] will give you all the tips you need,” he told InStyle.com of his upcoming release, named Joe Manganiello’s Evolution: The Cutting-Edge Guide to Breaking Down Mental Walls and Building the Body You’ve Always Wanted. “It’s everything I’ve learned from over two decades of training with some of the best trainers on earth.” And there will be a special guest contributor, he noted: “My buddy, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is helping out with it.” Doesn’t this just pump you up?!

True Blood’s two hottest vampires amped up the sex appeal last night, and for a good cause! Real-life married couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer attended Tom Ford’s cocktail party at his Beverly Hills boutique, held to benefit Project Angel Food. The organization delivers meals created by professional chefs to homebound people suffering from serious illnesses like HIV/AIDS. The couple, who just welcomed twins in September, will return to HBO this summer for the sixth season of the salacious, New Orleans-based vampire show.

Alexander Skarsgard on What He Loves about His Sexy Characters

Whether Alexander Skarsgard is portraying vampire Eric Northman on True Blood, filming a thriller named Hidden in which he hides in bomb shelters, or perfecting his come-hither look as the face of Calvin Klein’s new men’s fragrance, Encounter, the man oozes sexiness. And he knows it. “That’s what’s fascinating about this job,” the actor told InStyle.com at the New York launch of the fragrance, hosted by CK’s men’s creative director Italo Zucchelli at McKittrick Hotel’s Gallow Green rooftop garden bar. “The characters that you get to dive into are so different. You always get to explore a different side of your personality, and I learn a lot about myself that way.” And what he learned about himself through Calvin Klein is the power an image has to make something sexy—with no words at all. (Something that would come in handy if he lands the part as Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, which many believe this campaign took inspiration from.) “As an actor you usually have to say something,” he continued, Stella Artois beer in hand (though we were hoping for some True Blood). “But this I had to come up with in my head. And I’m really happy with how it came out.” Take one look at the clip above and you’ll be happy, too! True Blood Season Finale Is Tonight! Skarsgard Says ‘I Don’t Bite’

True Blood’s season finale airs tonight, and we can’t wait to see our favorite Bon Temps vampires back in action. Now that it’s ending, there’s one thing Alexander Skarsgård will have to guard himself of when not playing the dreamy Eric. “People ask me to bite them,” the Swedish-born actor told InStyle. “But I’m a nice guy. I don’t bite.” That said, he does come across a lot of fake blood on set. How does it smell? “Not great at all,” he said. “It’s very sticky and sweet, and I’ve been covered in it from head to bloody toe!” Tune in to HBO tonight at 9 p.m. EST to watch him, and see the rest of the shenanigans Sookie, Bill, and Eric are up to, and catch more of our interview with Skarsgard (the new face of Calvin Klein’s men’s fragrance Encounter) on page 166 of InStyle’s September issue, on newsstands now.

True Blood aired last night! And while the drama rages on between Sookie (Anna Paquin) and her main boys, Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skargard), we can’t help but get distracted by one little thing: Pam’s (Kristin Bauer van Straten) super-sexy costuming. “You get the script, and you have these pretty great scenes—these crazy scenes and dialogue—and then the wardrobe fitting feels like Christmas,” Bauer van Straten told InStyle.com at the launch of HSN’s TB-inspired Forsaken Beauty Collection. “[Costume designer] Audrey Fisher is amazing. She brings in a rack of that stuff and I email her and go, ‘What do you think we’re going to do—what direction?’” According to Bauer van Straten, there are only two options: “Sexy or sexier. You don’t do a lot of breathing during the day, but it’s fun!” Considering how devilish her character can be, we bet it is!

True Blood Is Tonight! Kristin Bauer van Straten on Pam’s Love Life

With a new episode of True Blood airing tonight, do you ever find yourself wondering if Pam’s getting a love interest? Kristin Bauer van Straten, the actress who plays the no-nonsense immortal with fangs, is asking the same thing. “I’m curious as to why I haven’t had a love interest, I’m really wondering,” she told InStyle.com at the launch party for Forsaken, the new beauty collection by HBO and HSN. “I’ve had a love interest off-screen, where I sort of did something I can’t say in a PG interview on top of a desk.” That said, she hinted her fictional love life will move more in front of the camera soon. “But, I’m looking forward to having a love interest and I’m looking forward to seeing who can capture Pam’s eye,” she said. “I suspect that she will be a she.” Just like the books—but maybe better! Tune in to catch a new episode of True Blood, airing tonight at 9 p.m. on HBO.
