So You Think You Can Dance Winners: Our Favorite Dance

Sep 19, 2012 @ 10:47 am

The So You Think You Can Dance? Season 9 finale aired last night and the winners are… Chehon Wespi-Tschopp and Eliana Girard! Their classical ballet training—he at the Royal Ballet School and she at Alvin Ailey and Cirque du Soleil—shot them ahead of all the pop-and-lockers and hip-hoppers throughout the competition to the number one spots, chosen by you, America. “I think it’s a triumph for the show, and I think it’s a triumph of a celebration of ballet,” choreographer Mary Murphy said of the twinkle-toed pair after their final dance (watch it above!). And if you’re looking for a few more beats per minute, Carly Rae Jepsen premiered her new song “This Kiss” during the show. (It’s catchy! Of course it is, IT’S CARLY.) Congrats to Chehon and Eliana!

Cat Deeley’s So You Think You Can Dance Outfits: All the Details!

Aug 15, 2011 @ 5:30 pm

So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley is giving InStyle the inside scoop about her outfits this season! Read what she says about her looks below, and see all of her Season 8 outfits in the gallery!

“What does a girl wear to the finale? A custom made backless mini dress covered in scarlet sequins from Markus Lupfer, of course! Markus was kind enough to create an insanely sassy, super body-con dress that a girl definitely wouldn’t wear to church! I teamed it with nude Jimmy Choo shoes and nothing else. Rehearsals actually ran over, and we only had forty minutes to get ready, so it was all hands on deck. We kept everything simple. Hair was luxurious tousled waves. Makeup was a mixture of flesh tones, with loads of lashes. As I ran to the stage, it suddenly dawned on me, we’d created our own version of Kelly LeBrock in Weird Science!”

Cat Deeley’s So You Think You Can Dance Outfits: All the Details!

Aug 6, 2011 @ 9:00 am

So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley is giving InStyle the inside scoop about her outfits this season! Read what she says about her looks below, and see all of her Season 8 outfits in the gallery!

“I’m always on the lookout for my latest fashion find — even if it’s thousands of feet above sea level, in the middle of the mountains, mid ski run! I was on holiday with friends in Courcheval, a chic town at the foot of Mont Blanc. I’d stopped for my mid afternoon coffee and obligatory hot toddy with my instructor, and in the distance I caught sight of the Valentino sign. In a flash, skis were off and we were walking through the door. I fell in love with this super girly, pale pink pearl and lace confection. The detail is so delicate and beautifully done that a girl can’t help but swoon. My shoes were snakeskin Louboutins and I wore a giant pearl cocktail ring from Accessorize.”
