J.Crew TV Special to Air on CNBC Tonight: Watch a Preview

Jenna Lyons may be the style mind behind J.Crew, but Mickey Drexler is the man with the final say—and that’s what tonight’s one-hour special on CNBC is all about. In this early clip from the mini-doc, J.Crew and the Man Who Dressed America, we see the “King of Retail” CEO on the scene at the lucky northern New Jersey store location that gets the first shipment of new product in the country every month. This store’s front window is the one that gets recreated all across America—if it gets the okay from Mickey first, that is. Revenge Season Finale: Ashley Madekwe’s Low-Key Style

Season 1 of Revenge came to a close last night, and the final episode gave us a rare glimpse of Ashley’s off-duty style. “I live for the moments when we get to see [Ashley Davenport] outside of the office or away from party planning,” Ashley Madekwe told InStyle.com exclusively. “It gives us a chance to see what she likes to wear in her down time.” Together with costume designer Jill Ohanneson, Madekwe put together this look, Topshop skinny jeans and a magenta silk blouse from Holmes & Yang. “We bought the Haute Hippie Suede jacket as an Ashley Davenport homage to Chanel early on in the season and I was so happy that we finally got to to use it,” she added. American Idol Season 11 Ends: Jennifer Lopez’s Sexiest Outfits

American Idol’s finale aired last night—congratulations, Phillip Phillips!—and thanks to Jennifer Lopez, Season 11 may have been the show’s sexiest yet. The former Fly Girl took the stage in everything from rhinestone-encrusted leotards to cut-out bandage dresses, a wardrobe that her stylists tell us takes a lot of prep work. “There are at least 50 shoes to choose from every week, and about 5 racks of clothes,” Lopez’s stylist Mariel Haenn told InStyle.com. “[Picking a dress is] a real game time decision,” said Rob Zangardi, the other half of the pop star’s styling team. “We bring all the options to Idol and then she jumps right in. Two minutes before is when we know what she’s wearing.” Some of Lopez’s sexiest snap decision looks: a semi-sheer silver studded Blumarine dress, a sleek almond leather Reem Acra shift, a curve-hugging metallic bandage Herve Leger look, and an iridescent bodysuit by The Blonds. American Idol Engagement: Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young

It’s a match made in American Idol heaven: Season five seventh place finisher Ace Young proposed to season three runner-up Diana DeGarmo on last night’s season 11 finale (Phillip Phillips won, by the way). Ryan Seacrest invited the pair up to the stage, and Young surprised his love by getting down on one knee. “I love you to death, you’re my best friend I want to make this last forever,” he told 24-year-old DeGarmo, before pulling out the ring, a one-carat yellow diamond flanked by two white diamonds set in 18-karat yellow gold by David Webb Jewelry. “I’m shaking, I can’t even hold it,” Young, 31, said as he slipped it onto her finger. “It’s amazing what can happen out of this show,” Seacrest said. Dancing With the Stars Winner: Donald Driver Takes the Trophy!

Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd took home the Mirrorball Trophy last night on the season 14 finale of Dancing With the Stars! The Green Bay Packers football star (and self-proclaimed DWTS fan since its inaugural season!) dropped to the floor and rolled around from excitement when his name was called. “I was on fire, and I had to roll around and get the fire out,” he told Good Morning America this morning. The pair took the stage at the beginning of the show for a repeat performance of their country music freestyle to Cowboy Troy’s “I Play Chicken With the Train” and wowed the audience again with their unique choreography and complicated lifts. And it was this dance—watch it above—that put this couple in the lead. ”We made a really good choice with what we wanted to portray with the freestyle, and we went all out with the country, and did something different, and it suited Donald to a tee,” Murgatroyd said. (Donald also won in our InStyle.com poll, with almost 40% of the vote.) Now we can’t wait for the “All-Star” season of the show which will return in the fall!
