NY Fashion Week Day 5: Fergie, DVF and More!

Even with a handful of celebrities at the BAFTA Awards and Grammys, Fashion Week didn’t slow down a bit! Fergie and Molly Sims watched Diane Von Furstenberg’s fashion show (center and right), Zac Efron and Joe Jonas stopped by the Calvin Klein menswear show, and Tommy Hilfiger had a star-studded front row. Plus, Max Azria (left) and Thakoon showed choker necklaces, while Tory Burch modeled her latest collection. Gossip Girl Style Secret: Layer Your Tights

How do Leighton Meester and the ladies of Gossip Girl stay warm when filming outside in New York? Tika Sumpter, who plays new character Raina Thorpe on the CW show, shared the on-set secret—layer your tights! “First you put on a nude pair that looks like your skin color and then you put on a pattern stocking, so it looks like your real leg underneath,” Sumpter (shown right) told InStyle of what she does on the show, a trick she learned from the show’s stylist Eric Daman. “This way, you won’t be cold,” she said. “And you won’t freeze when you go out to the club!”

After a seven-week long hiatus, Gossip Girl is back! There are going to be some new faces in town, including Raina Thorpe (played by Tika Sumpter), the daughter of a former business associate of Chuck’s father. And our old favorites are back to their dramatic ways, including Serena van der Woodsen, played by Blake Lively—pictured here in a Camilla and Marc sweater, Maxime Simoens top and Rag & Bone jeans. Who Is the New Gossip Girl Star?

There’s a fresh face on the set of Gossip Girl: Tika Sumpter. The actress will play Raina Thorpe, the daughter of a powerful business tycoon and a possible love interest to Chuck Bass. Sumpter, who most recently played Layla on One Life to Live, is off to a stylish start—she was spotted yesterday outside of Bergdorf Goodman shooting a scene with Chace Crawford, who plays Nate Archibald. We can’t wait to see what happens! Gossip Girl returns with new episodes on the CW January 24.
