The Bachelor Finale: The Inside Scoop on the Capes!

On last night’s Bachelor finale, Ben Flajnik proposed to model Courtney Robertson on a mountain top in Switzerland. Once the show’s stylist, Cary Fetman, found out it would be taped in such a cold location, he decided to dress the two final women in vintage capes to keep them warm. “When I saw Gwyneth at the Oscars [in her white Tom Ford cape and gown], I thought, ‘Oh my God, this is the most stunning thing I have ever seen!’” Fetman said. “And then I remembered how we put both girls in capes for the finale! People will probably think I copied her, but the show was shot months before the Oscars.” Fetman dressed Robertson in a dramatic long white cape to complement her black Alberto Makali gown, and Lindzi Cox wore a green velvet cape with a gold closure. The Bachelor Spoilers: Courtney and Lindzi’s Finale Dresses

On Monday night’s finale of The Bachelor, winemaker Ben Flajnik will choose between model Courtney Robertson or business development manager Lindzi Cox, and we caught up with the show’s stylist Cary Fetman to get the inside scoop on the ladies’ final looks. Fetman dressed Courtney in a black backless Alberto Makali gown from the designer’s fall 2011 collection (no longer available). “I loved its simplicity,” he said. “She felt like Jackie O in it.” For the final touch, Fetman added long black leather gloves, which he had to take a three-hour train ride from Switzerland to Milan to get. Meanwhile, Lindzi chose a navy Tadashi Shoji gown with a silk chiffon bodice and a floral organza skirt from the designer’s fall 2011 collection ($808 at tadashishoji.com). “It was a true ballgown fit for a Southern girl,” Fetman said. So, who do you want to Ben to pick: Courtney or Lindzi? The Bachelor Finale: Ben Flajnik’s Suit Details

The Bachelor star Ben Flajnik recycles one of his favorite suits from a previous episode for his final rose ceremony airing Monday. The 29-year-old winemaker originally wore the slate blue Hugo Boss design at one of the initial San Francisco rose ceremonies—this time he paired it with a black velvet Lanvin tie. “When he wore it the first time, all the girls made such a big deal out of it,” the show’s stylist Cary Fetman told InStyle.com. “After that, he told me he wanted to wear it for the finale because someone who would be in the final two said how sexy he looked.” Now we wonder who complimented him: Lindzi or Courtney? Meet the New Bachelorette: Emily Maynard

Even though she said she never would want to go on the show again, People.com reported today that Emily Maynard (the winner of Brad Womack’s season of The Bachelor) will star on the new season of The Bachelorette. The 25-year-old single mom broke off her engagement over the summer, and the show will reportedly be shot in North Carolina to allow her to be close to her daughter, Ricki. When she was on The Bachelor, she had one of the most enviable wardrobes of all the contestants, so much so that The Bachelor stylist Cary Fetman admitted that Emily made him “up his game” because of her amazing sense of style. “She is an elegant southern belle,” Fetman told InStyle.com. “And she has a shoe collection even Sarah Jessica Parker would envy!” We can’t wait to see who she picks this time, and what she wears!
