How often is it that you get to see Taylor Swift singing with Jon Bon Jovi and His Royal Highness Prince William? Not often enough! The rare occurrence happened during the Winter Whites Gala held at the home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Kensington Palace, where the country songstress not only got to meet the Prince, but performed for a 200-person audience during the dinner which benefited the homelessness charity, Centrepoint.
Some of Hollywood’s A-listers were also in attendance for the big night, including Bon Jovi—who was honored for his humanitarian efforts as the founder of Soul Foundation—Colin Firth, and Michelle Dockery. Swift looked nothing short of regal in an off-the-shoulder Reem Acra gown bejeweled with a metallic lace bodice and chiffon skirt. When it came time to hit the stage, the songstress (who also captured the moment on Instagram) was joined by Bon Jovi and Prince William, who all sang “Livin’ On A Prayer” together (there is even a video of it). What a royal treat!

Anyone who has ever spent more than an hour on a plane knows the experience is less than pleasant, and at times, turbulent. Instead of resorting to the comfiest clothing you own, trade in sweats and oversized tees in favor of pieces that encompass equal parts comfort and style. We turned to celebrities, aka seasoned fliers, who spend as much time in front of the cameras as on a plane racking up mileage points for pointers and outfit inspiration. From coast-to-coast premieres to international film festivals, A-listers are no strangers to travel. Copy Emma Stone and combine red skinnies with metallic brogues, or shoulder a neon yellow satchel, like Miranda Kerr, for a quick and easy pop of color. Taylor Swift went the preppy route, with menswear-inspired leather patch khakis and lush velvet loafer slippers. Got a destination on the horizon? Emulate any one of these 22 outfits and you’ll have stylish jet-setting fashion down pat in no time.
With 16 performances throughout the three-hour broadcast, there was a lot to dance along to at last night’s American Music Awards, so we rounded up our favorite performances and onstage moments. Lady Gaga and R. Kelly performed a steamy duet of Gaga’s new single “Do What U Want,” Katy Perry belted out “Unconditionally” rocking a peach kimono and offered a visual feast of colors onstage, and Jennifer Lopez paid tribute to salsa legend Celia Cruz in an exciting performance featuring acrobatic dancers and multiple outfit changes. We weren’t the only ones amazed by the night’s performers, either. “I thought there were so many amazing performances tonight, like the Christina Aguilera and A Great Big World performance,” Taylor Swift, who won Artist of the Year, told InStyle.com. “I felt really lucky to be in the audience tonight and be dancing to all of it.”

Sunday night’s American Music Awards felt like the ultimate concert and fashion show in one, complete with performances by Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, and many more. For starters, Taylor Swift, looking golden in a Julien Macdonald mini-dress, took home four awards, including the night’s top honor: Artist of the Year. Swift set an AMAs record, being the first person to ever win the award three times. “Winning Artist of the Year for the third time is kind of a little bit mind numbingly unbelievable, it is a little bit hard to absorb all at once,” Swift told InStyle.com. “It’s amazing, and the fact that it’s fan voted makes it that much better. This year has been unreal for me with this album. I don’t expect things to do well, just by default, so for this to happen is just wonderful.”
Another big winner was Rihanna, who was given the AMA’s first Icon Award, along with an award for Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist. Wearing a sexy Jean Paul Gaultier look, the singer was presented the award by her mother, Monica Fenty, who told her daughter how proud she was of her success. “I know the journey in your career has not always been an easy one,” Fenty said onstage. She had more kind words for her successful daughter: “I applaud you and admire you for being so strong and so positive and so humble and so focused.”
One of the most interesting moments of the evening? Lady Gaga rode down the red carpet atop a large, white, human-operated costume horse, wearing the exact same lavender Versace dress she wore in a campaign for the fashion house, released the day prior. Timberlake took home three awards at the fan-voted awards show, while Ariana Grande won New Artist of the Year and One Direction nabbed two awards including Favorite Pop/Rock Band/Duo/Group.
After walking the red carpet in a white pantsuit at the beginning of the evening, Miley Cyrus, who turned 21 the day before the show, closed the night with an emotional performance of “Wrecking Ball,” which surprisingly included a giant lip-syncing kitten in the background. Dressed in a two-piece cat-adorned ensemble, the singer proved her skills by flawlessly belting out her hit, while the giant cat was floating onscreen behind her, even crying in zero-gravity at one point. Check out the complete list of AMAs winner’s here.

The 2013 American Music Awards hosted by Pitbull airs tonight, and music’s biggest stars are filling the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles for a night of celebrating the best artists, songs, and albums of the year voted by you, the fans! Aside from the red carpet anticipation, here are three things we can’t wait to see.
1. The Performances
You can count on seeing Justin Timberlake in all of his dapper glory onstage (hopefully he’ll be dressed in a full Tom Ford ensemble), along with Katy Perry—who is opening the show with her hit song “Unconditionally,”a possible twerking Miley Cyrus, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, newcomer Ariana Grande, and Lady Gaga.
2. Taylor’s Big Night
The country singer is leading the female nominees with five—yes five—nominations, leaving us wondering if Swift will have a repeat of the Country Music Awards and leave the Nokia Theatre with an armful of statuettes. Plus, we can’t wait to see what she will be wearing.
3. The Return of TLC
The ladies of TLC will be making their return to the American Music Awards with a special performance featuring a mysterious guest. Guess we’ll have to watch to see.
Don’t miss the 2013 American Music Awards tonight airing live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on ABC at 8/7c!
