Gwen Stefani on Her Target Children’s Collection: “More Is Coming!”

Apr 19, 2012 @ 3:20 pm

More children’s clothes by Gwen Stefani are on the way! After launching her first mini-size line for Target in November, the No Doubt singer and L.A.M.B. founder is hard at work on a follow-up. “Target is going to keep coming,” Stefani told InStyle.com at the Milk & Bookies Story Time Celebration in Los Angeles this weekend. “We’ve got new collections coming and coming and coming. For the kids stuff, I draw from Japanese inspiration or from Japanese kids clothes.” So, who is more fun to dress—children or adults? “I love to do both,” she said. “I really enjoy doing the children’s right now probably because it’s new.” We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!

The Glee Bridesmaids’ Look: Target and Ivanka Trump!

Glee fans geared up for the Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) and Finn Hudson (Cory Montieth) wedding during last night’s episode, and we were excited to see what the type-A Rachel planned for her big day. Thanks to the researchers at fashionofglee.tumblr.com, we know the hot pink belted bridesmaids dresses that Mercedes (Amber Riley), Sugar (Vanessa Lengies), Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), Brittany (Heather Morris), and Santana (Naya Rivera) wore are from the Merona Collection at Target, and they accessorized with ivory pointed-toe heel by Ivanka Trump. It’s nice to see the costume designers kept the look budgety-friendly and high-school appropriate—the dress sold for $40, though it’s no longer in stores, and the patent pumps are available for $120 at zappos.com. Sadly, with Quinn’s (Dianna Agron) accident, the “I dos” never happened. Here’s to hoping they’ll pick up where they left off when the show returns in April! Tell us: Do you like their bridesmaids look? Let us know in the comments!

Jason Wu for Target: See the Runway and Red Carpet Inspiration!

Jan 13, 2012 @ 4:00 pm

While Jason Wu’s designs ring up in the thousands, you’ll be able to score styles similar to those seen on the runway and the red carpet for $60 and under come February. Wu’s signature ladylike silhouettes, lace fabrics and prim blouses all made their way into his Target line, which means taking style cues from the designer’s celebrity fans like Jaime King and Zoe Saldana will be easier than ever. “I really focused on not copying what I do in my main line verbatim and translating my vision and my aesthetic into pieces that girls really love,” Wu told InStyle.com. See Jason Wu’s runway and red carpet to Target double takes in the gallery, and shop the collection at Target stores and target.com starting February 5th.
