Talk about nailing it! Kate Hudson, Taraji P. Henson, and Ke$ha added creative elements to their manicures recently, with Hudson sporting a pink nail with a silver tip, and Henson lacquering up in a chic black and white print. However, Ke$ha’s manicure proved to be the most eye-catching design we’ve seen yet. The singer topped off her optical pattern by adding strips of false lashes to her ring finger. The Odeon restaurant in New York turned into a mini Chanel runway at the 8th Annual Chanel Artists Dinner, when guests including Alexa Chung and Mad Men‘s Kiernan Shipka wore straight-off-the-runway looks for their night out to celebrate the Tribeca Film Festival. “It’s fabulous to wear Chanel,” said 13-year-old Shipka, who chose look 24 from the label’s spring 2013 show. “It’s truly amazing.” Chung agreed: “It has so much history and class that the clothing feels like that,” she said. Though, wearing Chanel wasn’t a requirement for the evening, which was also shared by Uma Thurman, How I Met Your Mother star Josh Radnor, rising star Mickey Sumner, and the festival’s co-founder Robert DeNiro. Taraji P. Henson enjoyed the night—pinot noir in hand—in a vibrant blue design by Stella and Jamie. Click the photo to see more.

Celebrities kicked off New York Fashion Week last night by marching down the runway for a cause. Camila Alves, Cat Deeley, Suzanne Somers, Denise Richards, Dita Von Teese, Ann Curry, and more all wore red dresses by designers for The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Fashion Show, which raises awareness for the foundation that spreads information about heart disease for women on a national level. “As women, we’re all nurturers and caretakers,” Deeley, in Alberta Ferretti, told us before the show. “But you can’t do that unless you take care of yourself.” Click through the gallery to see all the celebrities who walked at The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Fashion Show!

Last night, the 10th annual BET Awards were hosted by Queen Latifah. As if following her “royal” example, the stars in attendance showed up swathed in embellished frocks, killer platform pumps and occasional pops of jewel-toned color. Winners included Alicia Keys, who performed (and showed off her baby bump) in purple satin, Beyonce (who won for her duet with Lady Gaga on “Video Phone”), and up-and-coming star Keke Palmer (who currently has a gig on Nickelodeon). Other fashion highlights included Cassie‘s bandeau top/high-waisted pants combo, Ciara‘s military-inspired fringed Balmain dress, and Estelle’s blush long-sleeved mini, atop which she piled several chain necklaces.
