Shailene Woodley’s Five-Finger Shoes: ‘My Favorite Flats Ever!’

After walking the Golden Globes red carpet in a Marchesa dress and Tabitha Simmons shoes, Best Supporting Actress nominee Shailene Woodley switched into something more relaxed for the InStyle/Warner Bros. after-party. “This is a super comfortable Stella McCartney dress, and I’m wearing my favorite flats ever,” the actress told InStyle.com, pointing to the five-finger Vibram shoes upon her feet. As for why she decided to change? “Who knows how many times I’ll be able to change into two different long dresses in one night, so why not!” Why not, indeed!

Stella McCartney celebrated the opening of her New York flagship store in Soho by inviting some of her closest pals to a private dinner, including Naomi Watts and Saturday Night Live star Kristen Wiig (dressed in the designer’s clothes, of course). McCartney, an avid animal rights activist, offered a meat-free menu created by star chef Mario Batali to her guest list, which also included Liv Tyler, Stephanie Seymour, and Seth Meyers. Stella McCartney’s Resort 2012 Collection: Liv, Naomi, Bono, and More!

Some of Stella McCartney‘s closest friends and fans—including Liv Tyler, Naomi Watts, Bono, and Estelle—caught the first glimpse of the designer’s new Resort 2012 collection in New York yesterday. Models showed off playful floral prints, vibrant striped blouses, bow-covered skirts while hitting croquet balls, whacking pinatas, and dangling a yo-yos at McCartney’s fun backyard-style presentation. The collection also featured her famous Falabella-style bag in fresh new styles, like python with fuchsia contrast and brown leather with gold hardware.
