In June, we reported that a Spice Girls musical was in the works, and the show officially opens tonight on London’s West End, with all five members of the group expected to attend the premiere! Viva Forever follows a group of four musically-inclined girlfriends on their journey to stardom, and features the nineties pop phenomena’s most iconic hits (think “Wannabe” and “Spice Up Your Life”). “My waterproof mascara [is] going on,” Emma Bunton, or Baby Spice, tweeted. “I think there might be tears tonight!” The feeling is mutual! Viva Forever’s performances begin tonight at London’s Picadilly Theatre, with shows scheduled to run until June 1, 2013.
