After the CFDA Awards, it’s party time! Stars like Kerry Washington (in Jason Wu) and Sofia Vergara (in Herve L. Leroux) gathered in their best couture getups to fete the achievements made by this year’s fashion all-stars. Givenchy‘s Riccardo Tisci celebrated his win for the International Award with a hug from Jessica Chastain, and Elizabeth Olsen came out to support little sis and The Row designer Mary-Kate. Usually on the red carpet, the designers praise the stars. At the CFDA Awards, it’s the other way around! Celebrities including Sofia Vergara (in Herve L. Leroux and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry) and Kerry Washington (in Jason Wu), Elizabeth Olsen (in The Row), and Romeo and Juliet stars Hailee Steinfeld (in customized Swarovski-covered Suno) and Douglas Booth (in Tom Ford) were among the celebrities who helped honor fashion’s elite at Lincoln Center in New York City last night. With the event celebrating the best of the industry, it has a different feel than typical star-heavy awards shows. “I presented at the Oscars, and I thought, I’m an actress, so I understand talking about acting, but fashion is a bit more complicated for me,” The Office star Ellie Kemper (in Naeem Khan) told InStyle.com. “It’s intimidating because I’m in awe of what they do!” Click to see what everyone wore.
Hollywood headed to the capitol over the weekend to attend the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington D.C. The star-studded evening, attended by A-listers like Katy Perry (in Giambattista Valli), Sofia Vergara (in Herve L. Leroux), Nashville stars Connie Britton (in Temperley London) and Hayden Panettiere (in Katherine Kidd), Jessica Paré (in Antonio Berardi), and Gabby Douglas (in David Meister), was filled with laughs courtesy of the night’s host Conan O’Brien and President Obama, who poked fun at himself and O’Brien in his humorous speech. “I understand that when the Correspondents’ Association was considering Conan for this gig, they were faced with that age-old dilemma: Do you offer it to him now, or wait for five years and then give it to Jimmy Fallon?” the President ribbed (watch his speech here). When it comes to shapewear, Beyonce, Emma Watson, and Jennifer Lopez all turn to one brand to guarantee their red carpet outfits look smooth: dMondaine, a line designed by Kiana Anvaripour. These ladies love the brand’s bralettes, panties, and bodysuits because they’re made to gently hug your curves and still leave enough wiggle room to feel like you haven’t cut off your circulation. “They’re sexy,” explained Watson’s stylist, Anita Patrickson, who also dresses Julianne Hough and Bond girl Berenice Marlohe. “They cover all problem areas and add an extra layer of confidence when they’re on the red carpet.” Plus, the brand just launched its new spring collection, which includes a pink-striped bra (above) preferred by Beyonce—a fun twist on the traditional monotone shaper—as well as the signature Marilyn (nude) and Victoria (black) pieces. Check out more of dMondaine’s six-piece core collection, available on net-a-porter.com for $79 to $169.

Sofia Vergara has gone back to her sunny roots! The star debuted her light hair color on her Instagram today, and although she sports a deep chestnut hue on the big and small screens, her latest ‘do is a more organic take on her look. “I’m a natural blonde,” Vergara told InStyle previously, admitting that she made the swap for a screen test over a decade ago and never looked back… until now. Although the change is dramatic, the star keeps her strands healthy by adding variety to her hair routine. “I use a different shampoo every day depending on how I want my hair to look,” she added. “I probably have eight bottles in my shower!” Now that’s what we call being well-prepared. Do you like her new look?

Super Bowl XLVII brought tons of big stars to the Big Easy to celebrate the face-off between the triumphant Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. Sofia Vergara, Stacy Keibler, Chrissy Teigen, and Nina Dobrev were among those who partied down south before the big game, as well as Kelly Rowland, who attended ESPN Magazine’s “Next” party before her big surprise halftime appearance alongside Destiny’s Child members Beyoncé and Michelle Williams. We’re all glued to the set when screen sirens like Modern Family star Sofia Vergara walk the Golden Globes red carpet, but do you ever wonder what goes on before the show? We’ve got the dish! “The environment was very light and relaxed as Sofia got ready, ate throughout the day, and had fun with her friends and family,” her longtime makeup artist Kayleen McAdams, who was on hand to get the nominee and Cover Girl ready along with hair stylist Jen Atkin, told InStyle.com. Of the night’s look, McAdams says, “I wanted to do a brick red lip (she chose Queen Collection Lipcolor in Into the Red ($6.99 at covergirl.com), something a little deeper and more interesting than a classic red. Old Hollywood glamour is a trend for awards season, so Sofia and I did our own twist on the look!“ She gave the star the lipstick to keep in her clutch so she could touch herself up throughout the night. And those famous endless eyelashes? Sofia can thank 3 coats of Clump Crusher by LashBlast Mascara ($6.99 at covergirl.com). She looked amazing!
