What brings Ashley Greene, Freida Pinto, Eva Mendes, Emma Roberts, and Minka Kelly together on a Tuesday afternoon? A great fashion show. And they got one, as celebrity-favorite Italian label Salvatore Ferragamo touched down in New York yesterday to present its 2012 resort collection. Held in the classic James B. Duke Mansion on Fifth Avenue, creative director Massimiliano Giornetti paraded sleek suits, sailor chic looks, and glamorous gowns reminiscent of the 1930s down the runway. A palette of white, ivory, shades of blue, and metallics stretched across the clothes, shoes, and bags—some with chain detail—while Fred Leighton provided the fine jewelry that accessorized the looks. The competition is heating up on Gossip Girl.
