That’s a wrap! Awards season officially came to a close following Sunday night’s Oscars, but we’re already eager to recreate the winning nail looks we’ve spotted. We put together a list of the 25 best manicures from the Golden Globes, Grammys, Oscars, and every ceremony in between! Jessica Alba kicked off the nail game on a high note at the Globes, pairing her citrus-toned dress with a pastel pink lacquer, while Rihanna and Anne Hathaway matched their manis to their couture ensembles. Hathaway in particular has opted for fun and creative designs each time she hit the red carpet—at the Oscars, her pale rose nails were inscribed with the initials of her maternal and paternal grandmothers. Looks like the reigning nail art queen Zooey Deschanel has some competition! Click through for more manicure inspiration.

This awards season the red carpet was filled with many shades of its namesake hue! At the Golden Globes, Jennifer Lawrence walked the red carpet in a coral organza Dior Haute Couture gown, for the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Jessica Chastain chose a figure skimming scarlet Alexander McQueen column, Rihanna picked a vibrant crimson Azzedine Alaïa dress for this year’s Grammys, and at the Academy Awards, Jennifer Aniston donned a strapless gown in classic Valentino Red. Gabby Douglas’s Awards Show Style: Inspired By Her Leotards

Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Gabby Douglas is making the most of her moment in the spotlight, attending both the Golden Globes (in lime green Pamella Roland) and the SAG Awards (in purple David Meister Signature). For both occasions, she chose looks that were inspired by the glitzy and glamorous fashion choices she makes on the floor, beam, and (her specialty), the bars. “I was looking back at my gymnastics career, and I’m like, ‘Wow, I did lime green in my leotard, so why not bring it to the red carpet?‘” Douglas told InStyle.com at the InStyle/WB Golden Globes after-party. “I love this dress because it stands out.” However, getting ready for a red carpet event is a new experience all together. “It’s so different because at the Olympics I took 20 minutes to get ready, I just put on a leo,” she said. “I listen to music and put on makeup. And for the Golden Globes, it’s two hours prior to the event!” We’re loving her gymnastics-meets-Hollywood style! What do you think?

Michelle Dockery’s Stylist Wants to Keep Changing Her Look: Which Style Do You Prefer?

Jan 30, 2013 @ 8:30 am

After working with Downton Abbey beauty Michelle Dockery to achieve her un-Downton like Golden Globes red carpet Alexandre Vauthier look, stylist Micaela Erlanger told InStyle.com that she wanted to go for something different at Sunday night’s SAG Awards, where the star wore a black vintage Chado Ralph Rucci gown with sheer cutouts. “[SAG] will be equally as amazing as the Globes, but it will be different,” Erlanger told InStyle.com prior to the big day. “Whatever it is, it will be glamorous, but it will be different from what we just did.” And Michelle was enamored with the look as well: “I loved that it was vintage and I loved the shape of it,” she told InStyle.com on the SAG red carpet, just before she and the rest of the cast took home the SAG Award for best performance by an ensemble in a drama series. ”I just loved it!” So, which of the star’s two looks do you like better: Old Hollywood glamour, or daring black vintage? Vote below!

Rose Byrne loved the Valentino gown she wore to last night’s SAG Awards, but had only one qualm about the look: “I think I’m the only one in bright colors!” she told InStyle.com. “It’s weird. Everybody is in simple colors in monochrome colors. I didn’t realize I would feel like such a fish out of water, but whatever!” And we like her carefree attitude (own it, Ms. Byrne!). “It was very me and I put it on and instantly, I just loved it,” she said of how she picked the multi-hued design, which she accessorized with Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry. “It’s really, really fitted.
