Rachel Loves St. Barth’s So Much, It Inspired Her New Collection

Rachel Zoe previewed her resort 2014 collection this week—the clothes she will release in stores this winter—and it’s full of options fit for Rachel’s boho-glam style with a nautical twist. Inspired by St. Barth’s, the island she jets off to for winter vacations with Rodger and Skyler, the pieces all have a very easy, relaxed, seaside feel, from striped short suits to rope belts to relaxed boyfriend-style denim. “This Resort season is all about contrast—juxtaposing and reinventing polished nautical pieces with contemporary edge,” Zoe said. “It’s a very versatile collection.” Of course, Rachel Zoe’s trademark motifs make an appearance. The stylist-turned-designer showed her love strong tailoring, maxi skirts, and wide-brimmed hats, the latter by cleverly incorporating the accessory in a beach-friendly straw style (shown above). Finally! Rachel Zoe’s Reaction to Jennifer Lawrence’s Oscar Fall

Mar 11, 2013 @ 11:16 am

It’s been just over two weeks since the Oscars dominated TV screens, and the seconds just before Jennifer Lawrence accepted her Best Actress award provided one of the night’s most unforgettable moments—whoooop, she fell. Her voluminous Dior dress took the blame for her stumble, and the woman who put her in the design is none other than celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe (Lawrence teamed up with Zoe last November). So, when we caught up with the stylist at the 10th Annual John Varvatos Stuart House Benefit at the designer’s West Hollywood boutique—the event raises money for the Los Angeles rape treatment center for victims of child sexual assault—we had to ask if her heart stopped a little when she witnessed the tip-over. “No,” Zoe said sweetly. “She is the most graceful, beautiful girl.” Girl support, you gotta love it.

Jennifer Lawrence’s most recent knockout red carpet picks have one thing in common—they’re all black everything! Steering away from eye-popping color and shiny metallics, Lawrence’s new stylist Rachel Zoe has lured the actress to the dark side, dressing her in the universally flattering hue. For the People’s Choice Awards the actress donned a vampy velvet Valentino number; at the Los Angeles screening of her new movie Silver Linings Playbook the actress stunned in a Christian Dior dress; at the film’s New York screening, she suited up in another onyx Dior design, and for the Critics’ Choice Movies Awards Lawrence wore a dramatic Prabal Gurung gown. Tell us: which look is your favorite? Vote in the poll below! More

Rachel Zoe’s Holiday Shopping Stress: ‘My Life Does Not Lend to Shopping Days’

Nov 29, 2012 @ 1:32 pm

Rachel Zoe faces a problem so many of us do around the holidays: Not. Enough. Time. To. Shop. “It’s pretty stressful,” the celebrity stylist told InStyle.com when she stopped by to style holiday looks at the Piperlime store in New York last night. “My life does not lend to shopping days. So, I’ve been doing a lot online, more and more.” In fact, she was one of the many who contributed to Cyber Monday’s epic sales day ($1.46 billion in sales!). “It was really fun, actually,” she said of her online experience. “I bought some stuff for [my son] Skyler, like a pretend kitchen and an amazing vintage airplane that he can drive. It has pedals.” And with gift-giving sessions fast approaching, her advice on choosing something for your tot is simple: “Buy what they love!”

Why Rachel Zoe Really Got Bangs

Nov 5, 2012 @ 11:11 am

Rachel Zoe snipped herself some bangs in September, and the celebrity stylist finally revealed what inspired her decision. “It was an impulse,” she told InStyle.com at the Baby2Baby Gala in Los Angeles this weekend, which raised funds and awareness for the west coast non-profit. “They’re from Fashion Week. The night before my fashion show, I was getting in the spirit because all the girls on the runway [wore] bangs.” Hairstylist Odile Gilbert then prompted her to make the cut. “I was so nervous that I wasn’t thinking!” That said, she loves the result. “It’s kind of nice because I get to hide under my hair. I’m keeping them.” See if bangs work for you—try them virtually in our Hollywood Makeover Tool.

Rachel Zoe Sold NBC a Sitcom Based on Her Life

Oct 17, 2012 @ 10:40 am

Celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe is taking her television presence from reality show star to full-on sitcom producer: She and husband Rodger Berman sold a scripted sitcom based on her life to NBC! The couple plans to executive produce the show, with Aseem Batra (Animal Practice) and Todd Holland (Shameless and 30 Rock) on board to write and direct, Deadline reports. (No word yet on whether The Rachel Zoe Project will continue once the sitcom airs.) This has limitless possibilities! As we see it, it has the potential to be the best-styled show on TV (of course with Rachel’s help), a cute baby (let’s not forget Skyler), and tons of funny quips (bananas, maje). Plus, who will play Rachel?! Who’s tall, thin, and blond in Hollywood? Oh yeah, we’re sure they’ll find someone.
