Forget the red carpet—the yellow brick road got a touch of Hollywood glamour thanks to the enchanting beauty looks Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams wore to the Los Angeles premiere of Oz: The Great and Powerful. That’s why we caught up with each pro who created the looks for our March cover girls to get the complete beauty breakdown. ”I loved this look for Michelle,” said Williams’s makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani. “It’s sophisticated, yet youthful. It complements her hair style and dress nicely.” Click through our gallery to get step-by-step instructions on how to recreate their looks, complete with the exact products used.
It was a magical night for InStyle’s cover girls Mila Kunis (in Dolce & Gabbana), Michelle Williams (in Prada and a Kate Young for Target clutch), and Rachel Weisz (in Victoria Beckham), when the cover trio premiered their new film, Oz The Great and Powerful at El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles. This premiere focused on grand entrances—instead of a red carpet, stars walked down a yellow brick road and, in the biggest arrival of them all, star James Franco descended from above inside a hot air balloon, much like the way the wizard enters the colorful world of Oz in the film. The movie opens nationwide on March 8, and in the meantime, you can get the inside scoop on all of the stars in the March issue of InStyle, on newsstands—and downloadable for your tablets—now.

The full line features pieces inspired by all the story’s classical female characters (who are also our March cover stars!), both good and wicked: Glinda (Michelle Williams), Evanora (Rachel Weisz), and Theodora (Mila Kunis), as well as the magical, colorful land that is Oz. Click through the gallery to see a sampling of the pieces you’ll find, and shop them on hsn.com starting March 1, just a week before the film’s release.
