Essie creator Essie Weingarten took some regal inspiration for the winter collection’s six bold hues, which range from delicate turquoise to vivid crimson. “It’s one part Queen Elizabeth, two parts Duchess of Cambridge. They don’t mince words and never mince color,” she said. “I just love the elegant simplicity of a saturated, vibrant look. It’s so luxe, yet so easy to put together.” Apparently the crown jewels are getting some serious competition! Big Ben Gets a New Name: Meet (Queen) Elizabeth Tower!

Don’t call it Big Ben—it’s now Elizabeth Tower! Parliament just approved the London landmark’s renaming in honor of Queen Elizabeth‘s Diamond Jubilee—her 60th year on the throne. Fun fact: “Ben” only refers to the giant bell at the top of the tower, though the nickname has extended to the entire structure in recent years.
