Congratulations, Anya Ayoung-Chee! The former Miss Universe contestant took home the top prize on Project Runway’s season nine finale last night, beating out fellow finalists Joshua McKinley, Kimberly Goldson, and Viktor Luna. Anya, who learned how to sew four months before beginning the competition, sent her models down the runway in breezy maxi dresses and beachy cover-ups. The designer’s prizes include $100,000 to start her own line and the opportunity to design and sell her pieces on Piperlime.com. Check out Anya Ayoung-Chee’s winning collection in the gallery now!

Project Runway’s Winning Looks Now Online

Project Runway lovers will be happy to know that last night’s winning looks are now available online! Heidi Klum & Co. (with guest judge Olivia Palermo) charged the designer contestants with creating sophisticated ’70s-inspired looks. The prize: The top styles get produced for Piperlime.comAnya Ayoung-Chee’s plunge-front printed jumpsuit won the top spot ($198 at piperlime.com). “It’s the easiest way to be stylish without being uncomfortable,” Ayoung-Chee said of her one-piece look. Palermo, the online store’s new guest editor, also surprised designer Bert Keeter by telling him his second-place two-tone little white dress also won a spot on Piperlime.com (on sale for $98). “It’s very simple, but it’s quite nice,” Klum said of the LWD. “It looks very elegant.” Tell us: Which of these Project Runway looks would you wear?

L’Oreal Launches Project Runway Makeup!

Project Runway and L’Oreal Paris teamed up to create a cosmetics collection! L’Oreal consulting makeup artist and Project Runway regular Collier Strong developed the limited-edition “Colors Take Flight” line. The assortment includes eye shadows, lipsticks, blushes and nail polishes in rich fall shades inspired by the coloring of exotic birds. Preview some of the products in the gallery, and be sure to look for the collection at Ulta and select drugstores this October.

Project Runway All Stars: Meet the Judges!

The Project Runway All Stars judges have been announced! Model Angela Lindvall will fill Heidi Klum‘s shoes as the host of Lifetime’s new spin-off, while Isaac Mizrahi and Marchesa‘s Georgina Chapman will also share their design critiques. The show’s contestants, including memorable Project Runway alums like Kathleen “Sweet P” Vaughn, Austin Scarlett  and Mondo Guerra, will compete for an exclusive designer boutique at Neiman Marcus, $100,000 in technology and office space and $100,000 in cash. New Yorkers, take note! Project Runway is taping its first-ever public fashion show this Friday, June 24th at The Esplanade Plaza in Battery Park City—and you’re invited to watch it live! Judges Heidi Klum and Michael Kors will be there, as well as a mystery celebrity guest judge. (We’re putting our bets on Kim Kardashian or Eva Longoria!) Check the show’s blog for RSVP and more information. The show starts at 9 a.m. Project Runway’s new season (#9!) debuts on Lifetime in July.

Katy Perry touched down in Mexico City this weekend to promote new fragrance Purr wearing a lilac one-shoulder sparkly dress by Nikolaki. The Los Angeles label is designed by Nick Verreos and David Paul, the former who you may remember as a Project Runway contestant in season two. While he didn’t win his season, Verreos (inset) went on to dress Project Runway host Heidi Klum, Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba, and now, Perry in his Nikolaki designs.
