Rising red-carpet favorite Prabal Gurung delivered another collection sure to be snapped up by Hollywood’s hottest during New York Fashion Week today. His looks featured iridescent leather and sheer panels in a palette of black, ivory, and shades of blue, as well as a dose of glam rock thanks to gold lame and lurex. For his standout accessories, he teamed up with some heavy-hitters, including Linda Farrow for statement sunglasses, Fenton for chunky chokers, and Philip Treacy for hats. Pink Pants: Would You Wear Them?

Last week, Pippa Middleton stepped out wearing a pair of distressed poppy pink jeans by Superdry ($120 at superdry.com), becoming the latest celebrity to try the bright hue on the bottom half. Diane Kruger shopped in Los Angeles last month in neon cropped trousers, Kristen Bell visited Sirius XM radio recently with honeysuckle slacks, and Sarah Jessica Parker made a late night television show appearance last year in Prabal Gurung-designed magenta bottoms. First Look: Prabal Gurung Designs New Sephora Uniforms

Prabal Gurung has created new uniforms for Sephora‘s in-store beauty advisors! The beauty retailer’s current uniform has been used since 2001, but in April, the new designs will be rolled out at North American stores. “The beauty advisors work so hard to make their clients look and feel good. I was ecstatic with the opportunity to make them look just as amazing,” Gurung said at the unveiling of the garments last night in New York City. “I incorporated some of my favorite design elements into the uniforms, and although I won’t get to personally meet every individual advisor, it’s exciting to think they’ll be getting to know me by wearing these outfits.” 2011 has been a big year for Gurung: Not only was he awarded the CFDA Swarovski Award for Womenswear, but he was recently appointed chief designer to relaunch the Japansese fashion brand ICB. Celebrities love the snow-colored hue recently—Jessica Alba worked a belted Carolina Herrera cocktail dress, Amanda Seyfried tried ostrich feather-plumed Prabal Gurung, Elizabeth Olsen went for a cream shift and an oversize blazer; and Ashley Greene chose a sleeveless knee-length LWD. Prabal Gurung on Dressing Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker is making designer Prabal Gurung very happy lately! The actress has become a huge fan of the Gurung’s work, and she makes it known with her red carpet choices, as seen here. “There are so many options out there, and for her to choose mine, it’s incredible,” the designer told InStyle.com at a preview of the New York Times‘ “50 Photographs” collection at Bloomingdale’s in New York City. “I really feel grateful and amazed,” he continued. “I hope that in 20 or 30 years, I still feel as excited about it. Not just her, but with any girl who chooses my clothes.” As for how SJP actually snags her looks? Well, that’s left up to her. “I don’t pick the designs [for her], she picks them herself,” he explained, noting that she likes to email Gurung directly and work with him and his team. “Why would you even pick something for someone like her who has incredible taste?” Good point!
