Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) looked gorgeous in her Vera Wang wedding gown on last night’s episode of Gossip Girl, but did Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) pull a Pippa and upstage the bride? Maybe, according to the show’s costume designer Eric Daman, who had the royal sister-in-law in mind when he picked out Serena’s Vera Wang maid of honor look. “I turned around and saw this beautiful pink chiffon gown, it was actually a bridal dress. It looked like peonies to me,” Daman told us of how he chose Serena’s style. “In old-world weddings, the bridesmaids would be wearing gowns, while the maid of honor would be wearing something a bit more glamorous. Last week, Pippa Middleton stepped out wearing a pair of distressed poppy pink jeans by Superdry ($120 at superdry.com), becoming the latest celebrity to try the bright hue on the bottom half.
