InStyle fashion director Hal Rubenstein is in for a treat on Monday, June 6th when he’ll be presented with the Founder’s Award by the Council of Fashion Designers of America at the organization’s annual awards gala. With such a big honor—the highly-prestigious award is named after CFDA founder Eleanor Lambert and given to someone who has made a unique contribution to the world of fashion—InStyle decided to celebrate early with a party for Rubenstein at the Standard Hotel in New York. Padma Lakshmi, Joy Bryant, Rachel Roy, Derek Lam, Prabal Gurung, Christian Cota, and more toasted his achievement with sips of white wine and champagne. The biggest stars on the small screen are in New York City to give TV execs a taste of what they’ll be watching this fall. Last night, InStyle and Untitled Entertainment teamed up to host a cocktail party for some of television’s most familiar faces and their biggest fans. “I came here straight from Cannes,” said Vanessa Hudgens, who mingled with Californication‘s Carla Gugino, Top Chef‘s Padma Lakshmi and the stars of The Vampire Diaries. After marking her 37th birthday with a trip to Disneyland, Eva Longoria headed to Las Vegas to host a more grown-up bash at the Sin City outpost of her Mexican eatery Beso.
