Super Bowl XLVII brought tons of big stars to the Big Easy to celebrate the face-off between the triumphant Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. Sofia Vergara, Stacy Keibler, Chrissy Teigen, and Nina Dobrev were among those who partied down south before the big game, as well as Kelly Rowland, who attended ESPN Magazine’s “Next” party before her big surprise halftime appearance alongside Destiny’s Child members Beyoncé and Michelle Williams. The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev has a go-to beauty prep routine, which she used before tonight’s Screen Actor’s Guild Awards! “I usually go to the Hammam [Turkish bath] in the morning to detox and freshen,” Dobrev told InStyle.com night at Entertainment Weekly’s Pre-Screen Actor’s Guild Party last night. “Then I get together with my hair and makeup team and my friends and myself, and we all just have a good time.” And her relaxing routing paid off! Dobrev walked the red carpet looking gorgeous in an Elie Saab dress.

Our favorite vampires are back! After a month-long hiatus, The Vampire Diaries returns tonight to The CW at 8/7c. And while the shocking events of the mid-season finale are still on our brains (RIP Carol Lockwood), the real question remains: will Damon and Elena be able to conquer the sire bond and be together? “I think there are more trials ahead for Damon and Elena (Nina Dobrev),” Ian Somerhalder told InStyle.com after his charity, the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, won the Mozilla Firefox Challenge by raising more than $120,000 for his environmental empowerment initiative. “It’s such a star-crossed lovers game at this point,” he continued about his on-screen (and off-screen) romance. “Their relationship is such a push and pull, but it’s so deep-rooted in the fabric of who they are. Poor Damon, poor Elena as well, they go through the ringer. They really do.” And fans shouldn’t expect Elena to make a final decision any time soon. “This is going to go on for quite some time,” Ian teased. Ready yourself for tonight’s episode by watching the clip above, and be sure to check out Somerhalder’s charity at isfoundation.com.

Instead of slipping into your favorite little black dress for your next holiday party, take a chance with color. Ilaria Urbinati, stylist to stars like The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev and Krysten Ritter, suggests bright hues like red. “You can’t ever go wrong with red, but punches of unexpected colors like royal blue, kelly green, fuchsia, or orange really stand out, too,” Urbinati told InStyle.com. “You wanna get kissed under the mistletoe, so don’t cower in the corner in an LBD!” Point taken!

The wait is almost over! Tonight the vampires of Mystic Falls return in the fourth season premiere of The Vampire Diaries, and if it follows in the footsteps of last season’s shocking finale, it’ll be a doozy! The story saw Elena (Nina Dobrev) join the undead (beware of vampire-blood transfusions!), which means she can now recall memories other vampires had compelled her to forget. Bear with us: This is going to be particularly important to her relationship with Stefan (Paul Wesley), whom she chose over his brother Damon (Ian Somerhalder) at end of last season. Elena’s decision was influenced by her belief that Stefan has been there for her from the beginning—except—what will happen when she finds out that she actually met Damon first and he wiped away her memory! Whew—looks like this love triangle isn’t going anywhere, viewers. You won’t have to compel us to see how this unfolds. Catch The Vampire Diaries tonight on the CW 8/7c.

Emmys fashion isn’t just about Sunday’s big red carpet arrivals—the whole weekend is filled with fun parties to dress up for. And one popular look that leading ladies love is lace in eye-popping hues. ”I’m really feeling lace at the moment,” Revenge star Ashley Madekwe (in Kain) told InStyle.com at the BAFTA Los Angeles TV Tea. “I told that to my stylist, Joey Tierney, when we pulled looks, and she came up with this.” Her teal dress fell in line with other vibrant designs, like Nina Dobrev‘s white lace Zuhair Murad, Taylor Swift‘s red French Connection looks for the iHeartRadio Music Festival, and Girls star Allison Williams‘s neon pink floral lace tank top by Oscar de la Renta for the Variety and Women in Film Pre-Emmy Event. “I love to wear color because I wear black all day every day when I’m at home,” Madekwe added. “So when I go out, it’s nice to wear some color.” Perhaps we’ll see more bright lace looks on the Emmys red carpet.
