Richie chose a ’60s inspired ensemble for the annual event hosted by The Fragrance Foundation, finishing her look with Brian Atwood pumps and a retro beehive bun. Fashion Star’s Finale Airs Tonight; Picked Up for Another Season

While the season finale of NBC’s Fashion Star airs tonight, it won’t be the last time it’s on TV! The show was just renewed for a second season, THR reports, which means we’ll be seeing more of mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, and John Varvatos, as well as host Elle MacPherson. Tune in tonight at 9:30/8:30c on NBC to see who takes home the grand prize—a $6 million contract with Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and H&M. Nicole Richie Launching Collection for Macy’s in September

Nicole Richie is creating a collection for Macy’s Impulse capsule series! Joining the ranks of Impulse guest designers like Karl Lagerfeld and Giambattista Valli, the Fashion Star mentor will bring her signature bohemian style to the retailer this fall. “I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work with Macy’s and create a collection that channels the individual artist in all of us,” said the House of Harlow 1960 designer. Her lineup will include maxi skirts and crop tops in retro prints, priced between $49 and $149. It’s set to launch this September in select Macy’s stores and on macys.com. Are you excited?

Nicole Richie loves a good headpiece! We caught up with the reality-star-turned-designer at a New York City Fashion Star bash hosted by H&M, where she gave us the inside scoop on her favorite accessory. “I think that everybody should wear headpieces!” Richie told InStyle.com. “If you’re spending a ton of money on shoes, then you should put just as much effort into dressing up your head.” The Fashion Star mentor has made elaborate hair jewelry one of her judge’s table staples, working everything from coin-embellished chains to delicate jeweled designs from her House of Harlow 1960 line. While the color authorities at Pantone predicted 2012 to be a year filled with tangerine orange in the fashion world, celebrities have gone in a much sunnier direction.
