The Tribeca Film Festival is in full swing and lower Manhattan is filled with stars celebrating the premieres of their latest independent films. Naomi Watts (in Alexander McQueen) and Matt Dillon posed on the red carpet together for Sunlight Jr., co-stars, Zac Efron, Heather Graham (in Stella McCartney), and Dennis Quaid screened At Any Price, and Matthew Bellamy came out to support fiancé Kate Hudson (Jenny Packham) for her new flick The Reluctant Fundamentalist. Naomi Watts consistently delivers amazing red carpet looks, like when she stepped onto the Oscars carpet in this glittering Giorgio Armani design. How does she master such perfect looks? Thanks to the styling help and advice from longtime stylist, Jeanann Williams. “Before Naomi jumps out of a car, we say, ‘Shoulders back!’” Williams told InStyle.com at The Hollywood Reporter & Jimmy Choo’s Top Stylists Luncheon. “There were a couple times where we were like, ‘Ooh! The shoulders!’ When it’s a cold night, you tend to [hunch].” She certainly paid attention for the Oscars, and for the rest of her major carpet moments.

Hollywood’s most influential stylists and their devoted celebrity clients gathered yesterday at Soho House in West Hollywood to attend The Hollywood Reporter & Jimmy Choo’s Top Stylist luncheon. The fete celebrated the industry’s twenty-five most powerful stylists, as named by The Hollywood Reporter in their second annual Top Stylists issue. And stars like Zoe Saldana (in Carven), Nina Dobrev (in Max Mara), and Naomi Watts (in Erdem) were all on-hand to support the women who help them turn heads—both on and off the red carpet. “I just know whatever she puts together for me, I’ll feel like the prettiest girl in the room,” Saldana said of her long-time stylist, Petra Flannery (second left). “I wish every girl felt that way.” Actress Naomi Watts also gushed about her stylist, Jeanann Williams (far right). “The great thing about working together is that we know each other so well. We spend a lot of time together. She has the kind of style and fashion sense that I’ve spied on for years.” We want to share them, too!

Hollywood’s brightest stars and indie film’s freshest faces hit Park City, Utah for the Sundance Film Festival, and in between the screenings and parties, some of our favorite actors—like Naomi Watts and January Jones—warmed up at InStyle‘s photo studio, hosted by the Grey Goose Blue Door. Kate Bosworth swung through with the cast of Big Sur, a film directed by her partner, Michael Polish. “This year, I’m with the love of my life,” she told InStyle of her festival experience. “It’s wonderful to wake up in the morning with not only your artistic partner but your lover and tackle the day. I’m so proud of the film and I’m so proud of him and I’m so proud of what we did together that it’s a wonderful experience to be here.” Click through the gallery to see six never-before-seen photos from inside the studio, and then flip to page 133 of InStyle‘s brand-new April issue—or download it to your iPad, Nook, or Droid tablet—to see even more beautiful snaps by celebrity photographer Eric Ray Davidson.

This Week’s Parties: Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck, and Naomi Watts at John Varvatos’s 10th Annual Stuart House BenefitMar 11, 2013 @ 3:00 pm
It was an Oscar couples reunion at John Varvatos’s 10th Annual Benefit this weekend, where Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts, Ben Affleck, and Jennifer Garner were all on-hand to support Stuart House, a treatment center for children who have suffered sexual abuse. Garner began her involvement with the cause eight years ago, and now she and her husband are co-chairs of the benefit. “She told me about what she saw at Stuart House and what the children had to go through after being subjected to these kinds of assaults, and how important it was to have people there who were caring and thoughtful and going to do this the right way,” explained Affleck at the benefit, held at Varvatos’ boutique in West Hollywood. The event featured a live auction to support the House, as well as a performance by Aerosmith. “You just see the outpouring of people that want to be part of such an important cause and to me that’s the most important thing that we’ve done over the last ten years,” host Varvatos added. “To really raise the awareness and raise money to support helping these young kids.” To find out how you can help Stuart House, visit 911rape.org.

We’re still reeling from all of the glamorous ensembles from last night’s Oscars, and nude glosses and lipsticks were the big winners in the beauty department! Stars like Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence, Salma Hayek, and Naomi Watts traded statement-making red carpet hues for subdued, flesh-toned lips. The look balanced the strong eye shadows worn by Berry, Lawrence, and Hayek, while adding a delicate touch to Watts’ shimmery makeup. “We went for a soft rose that mimics Naomi’s natural lip color,” said Watts’ makeup artist Pati Dubroff, who used Chanel’s Rouge Coco Lip Color in Mademoiselle ($34; chanel.com). “My inspiration for her look was all about strength, unabashed glamour and polish, with a good dose of femininity.” We love it! Click through our gallery to see the rest of the looks we loved, along with tips from the pros who created each look.
The stars shined extra bright at the 2013 Academy Awards—thanks to their sparkling accessories! And the biggest bauble trend of the night: bold earrings. Nicole Kidman, Zoe Saldana, Jennifer Hudson, and Best Actress nominee Naomi Watts worked statement danglers studded with diamonds, pearls, and opals on the red carpet. And that wasn’t the only jewelry trend of the night! Click through to see more of our favorite jewelry moments from this year’s Oscars.
