Sophia Kokosalaki to Launch Bridal for Net-a-Porter!

Sophia Kokosalaki is branching into bridal! The London-based Greek designer, whose pieces have been worn by Jada Pinkett Smith and Anne Hathaway, is gearing up to launch a 12-item collection of wedding gowns, cocktail looks, and bridesmaids’ dresses, WWD reports. The Grecian-inspired draped designs will range from $1,256 to $7,065, and be available exclusively through net-a-porter.com starting February 15th.

Coach Brings Back Its ’70s Styles!

Fans of vintage Coach bags, take note! The brand announced it will relaunch some of its classic ’70s purse designs via Net-a-Porter.com—marking the first time the site has sold Coach. The pre-C’s styles will range in price from $298 to $498, and shoppers can expect to see satchels, shoulder bags, and duffles in colors like chocolate brown, navy blue and caramel. “The Coach designs from this era were seminal in defining our approach to great American style,” Coach creative director Reed Krakoff told WWD. “Heritage is our hallmark.” While the retro styles won’t hit the online retailer until June 15th, you can pre-register for the bags starting today on Net-a-Porter.com.

Fashion Designers Announce Charitable Green Fashion Show

Green wasn’t just the hottest color at the recent Golden Globes, it’s also a growing movement. Yves Saint Laurent, Oscar de la Renta, Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs, Burberry, Rachel Roy (design shown) and more announced today that they are taking part in Runway to Green, a charitable fashion show to be held in New York on March 29, reports WWD. While the fashions that will be seen at the show—which will be from the designers’ fall 2011 collections—aren’t required to be eco-friendly, all of the clothes shown will go on sale immediately after the show on Net-a-Porter.com. The proceeds will benefit various environmental causes, including the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Alliance for Climate Protection. Who Designed Rihanna’s Panther Swimsuit?

Rihanna relaxed on the beaches of Barbados (her home turf) this week wearing a panther-print swimsuit by the Australian brand We Are Handsome. The label, designed by Indhra Chagoury and Jeremy Somers (inset), launched in 2009 with the idea of putting retro prints and images on classic cuts. “You can’t help but be captured by the prints and their bold beauty,” Chagoury told us about the line, when we caught up with the duo today about the suit. As for their reaction to Rihanna’s look: “We love it! She looks unbelievably hot, and it totally suits her personal style.” The suit, part of the resort 2011 collection, is available for $375 on Net-A-Porter.com.
