Twilight’s Nikki Reed Engaged to American Idol’s Paul McDonald

Nikki Reed accessorized her black dress with some bling at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards—a new engagement ring! The Twilight star, 23, arrived to the event with her beau in tow, former American Idol contestant Paul McDonald, 26, and a new band on her left ring finger. “He’s the one,” she told E! News. The pair have been together for about two months. Congrats!

First Look! The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I

The The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 trailer was worth the wait! The saga’s love triangle—Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner—introduced the world-premiere clip at tonight’s 2011 MTV Movie Awards, and it reveals so many new details about the flick. We get a glimpse of Bella and Edward’s wedding invitations arriving (simple, yet elegant), Jacob running in a mad rage (not before showing off his six pack abs in the pouring rain), and Bella’s bridal style (think gorgeous updo with a braid mixed in). But most importantly, Twi-hards can rest easy because it looks like the film is going to do the much-anticipated wedding night scene justice. We have the trailer on replay and can’t get enough of Edward’s voice over the sound of the bed breaking: “No measure of time with you will be long enough, but we’ll start with forever.” Tell us: What do you think of the new clip?

Twi-hards everywhere are already setting their DVRs for Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards, which will premiere the first clip from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I. Just to bait us a little more, MTV released a 15-second teaser for Sunday’s big reveal. It’s a snapshot of Bella and Edward’s gorgeous wedding day, and while it’s only a snippet, there’s much to be learned! Here are the wedding facts we derived:

New Moon & Avatar Score MTV Movie Noms

Get ready for Golden Popcorns! MTV Movie Awards nominees were announced with The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Avatar trailing closely behind The Hangover for most nominations. New Moon‘s five nods include Best Movie and Best Female and Male Performances for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, who also get the chance to repeat last year’s victory for Best Kiss. The vampire flick has some stiff competition from Avatar—its five nominations include an acting nod for Zoe Saldana, Best Kiss, Best Fight and Best Movie. The star-studded show, hosted this year by Parks and Recreation star Aziz Anzari, will feature a performance by Christina Aguilera and appearances by Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.
