The MTV Movie Awards continued in grand tradition last night at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California, and there were plenty of stars on-hand to take in the most outrageous awards show in cinema. Harry Potter star Emma Watson (in Maxime Simoëns) took home MTV’s Trailblazer Award, and as she accepted the gilded popcorn statue, she got a little emotional. “You have supported me in all of my awkwardness and allowed me to grow into the kind of actress and person that I hope to be,” Watson told the audience. “Becoming yourself is really hard and confusing, and it’s a process.” Bradley Cooper accepted the award for Best Male Performance for his work in Silver Linings Playbook from presenter Melissa McCarthy, and Django Unchained stars Jaime Foxx and Kerry Washington (in Michael Kors) had a reunion backstage. The Oscars are Sunday night at 7/6c on ABC, but the parties have already begun! Vanity Fair hosted two big soirees last night in Hollwood, each to celebrate one of the nominees for Best Picture—and also support good causes! The cast of Les Miserables—InStyle cover girl Amanda Seyfried (in Dior), Man of Style Eddie Redmayne, and nominee Anne Hathaway, who were all joined by Isla Fisher, wife of castmate Sacha Baron Cohen—celebrated together to support the Los Angeles Fund for Public Education. Meanwhile the cast of Silver Linings Playbook, including nominees Jennifer Lawrence (in Roland Mouret) and Bradley Cooper, attended a party that raised funds for The Glenholme School, a boarding school for children with special needs.
