Catching Fire Cast: Sam Claflin to Play Finnick Odair

After much speculation, Lionsgate finally announced who will portray District 4′s resident playboy, Finnick Odair: Sam Claflin, the 26-year-old actor who played Kristen Stewart‘s childhood sweetheart in this summer’s Snow White and the Huntsman. Claflin will have a lot of screen time opposite Sex and the City‘s Lynn Cohen, who was cast as Odair’s former mentor, Mags, as (spoiler alert!) both return to the Games alongside Jennifer Lawrence‘s Katniss and Josh Hutcherson‘s Peeta for a vicious, all-star 75th anniversary round. Kristen Stewart’s Balmain Dress: Runway to Reality

For the down-under premiere of Snow White and the Huntsman in Sydney, Australia, leading star Kristen Stewart chose an ornate two-piece look straight off the fall 2012 Balmain runway. Look closely, and you’ll notice how the actress styled the rhinestone and pearl-covered, embroidered design a little different than her model counterpart, ditching the belt and ankle booties for a subtle peek at her midriff and sparkly stilettos by Christian Louboutin. MTV Movie Awards 2012: Kristen Stewart’s Silver Guishem Dress

Kristen Stewart, one of the MTV Movie Awards’ most treasured VIPs thanks to her work on the epic Twilight and newly-epic Snow White and the Huntsman, showed up to tonight’s event in a yellow, silver, and purple dress by Guishem, a label designed by Guatemala native Guillermo Jop. She paired the dress with Christian Louboutin‘s ”Pigalles” black pointy-toe pumps ($595 at net-a-porter.com), though she changed into sneakers as soon as she finished posing for pictures—her now-signature post red-carpet move.

Cathy Waterman’s Snow White and the Huntsman Jewelry: All the Details!

When Oscar award-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood had to pull jewelry for the medieval leading ladies of Snow White and the Huntsman, she used a modern day favorite—Cathy Waterman. Many of the jewels came directly from Waterman’s pre-existing or vintage collections, some designs were gently altered for the film, and a couple of special rings were created for Charlize Theron and Kirsten Stewart. “Everything just felt right,” explained Atwood. “We maxed out on Cathy’s jewelry, because it was so fantastic. Snow White Costumer Colleen Atwood Creates HSN Collection

Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood has worked on some of the most major movie costumes in recent history—Alice in Wonderland, Chicago, and Memoirs of a Geisha to name a few. Her latest? A new take on medieval clothes, dressing Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, and hundreds of extras for Snow White and the Huntsman, out today. And after years of working in the business, she finally decided to turn her attention to clothes for non-actors, creating a small collection of Snow White-inspired clothes for HSN, available starting this week. “I think the medieval period is very modern,” Atwood told InStyle.com at the New York preview. “The designs are very simple and very today in a way, so I thought it would translate.” The pieces, ranging from $39 to $169, incorporate lace-up details, peasant blouses, and armor-like buckles on dresses, tops, and pants. Get the Look: Kristen Stewart’s Intricate Updo

We loved Kristen Stewart’s edgy chignon at the Los Angeles screening of Snow White and the Huntsman, so we caught up with her hairstylist Adir Abergel to break down her look! “I wanted to add a punk edge to the traditional Victorian updo,” Abergel told InStyle.com. He began by giving strands a blast of Klorane’s Dry Shampoo ($18; ulta.com) to give the style movement and hold, then backcombed Stewart’s roots to add volume. “I started French braiding her hair going toward her crown, then knotted sections at the top to create a Mowhawk,” the stylist said. “To create extra texture, I braided hair at the nape of Kristen’s neck, and twisted it around the knotted Mowhawk.” Perfect!
