Giorgio Armani created a sea-inspired collection with an oyster pearly finish for his spring 2012 lineup. Runway Looks We Love: Roberto Cavalli

Sep 28, 2011 @ 11:15 am

If there’s something Roberto Cavalli loved to use in his spring 2012 collection just as much as his signature animal print—it’s gold sequins, and lots of them! For the label’s latest fashion show in Milan, the designer splashed the metallic paillettes on everything from dresses to jackets. Of course, there were a few pieces not decorated in sparkle, instead covered with unexpected combinations of floral and, of course, animal prints. See some of favorite looks from the collection in the gallery.

Runway Looks We Love: Missoni

Sep 27, 2011 @ 4:30 pm

Missoni shifted focus from its massive Target launch in the U.S. to its Milan Fashion Week show in Italy this week. For the lineup, designer Angela Missoni brightened up the label’s signature feel-good zigzags with vibrant shades of blue, yellow and purple. Fabrics mixed, like fringe, crochet, netting and knits, to create texture-heavy looks, while dashes of animal print provided a party-ready feel. Playful proportions came in the form of asymmetrical hemlines and huge ruffles on dresses, skirts, sweaters and swimsuits, and 3D flower-embellished platforms topped off the looks. Jil Sander‘s spring 2012 collection featured an easy-to-love (and want) architectural quality to it. Creative director Raf Simons sent crisp white day looks down the runway to open the show, followed by head-to-toe white outfits for evening, with shots of bright color and prints like paisley and gingham interjected throughout. Minimalistic bags and shoes accessorized the lineup, as well as ‘50s-style hats with veiled netting. See our favorite looks from the collection in the gallery.

Runway Looks We Love: Emilio Pucci

Sep 26, 2011 @ 5:45 pm
Gwyneth Paltrow got her hands on Emilio Pucci’s spring 2012 collection early. Recognize the midriff-baring dress on the right? It’s her Emmys look from last weekend! And the style the Outstanding Guest Actress of the year wore is just one of the ultra-sexy looks from the label’s latest lineup, which included Brigitte Bardot-inspired day and night looks with revealing lace inserts and see-through fabrics. Traditional vibrant Pucci prints (a favorite of Jennifer Lopez) also made an appearance, reinterpreted in a fresh, modern way on beautiful, billowy long skirts. Click through the gallery to see some of our favorite looks from the latest Pucci collection.
