After an avant-garde launch party, attended by Kanye West and Sarah Jessica Parker, to name a few, and a preview of the collaboration—which includes oversize coats, baggy trousers, and (possibly) a bird—you can now officially shop the über-modern line that brings the high-end Parisian brand to the masses. “The democracy of our fashion has always been at the center of our creativity, and the collaboration with H&M allows us to push this instinct further,” the luxury Margiela label said in a statement about the partnership. “We will bring together the contrasting universes of the two houses in ways that will surprise all.” H&M’s 5th Avenue flagship in New York had shoppers lining up as early as yesterday morning. Sticking to the conceptual ideas MMM is known for, the collection includes seasonally-appropriate and wildly oversize coats in neutral colors, metallic leggings, wide-leg trousers, and more.
