Truth be told, that catchy chorus from Leona Lewis‘s breakout single “Bleeding Love” is still hard for us to shake from memory. The Body Shop must have had the song on repeat as well, because the eco-friendly beauty retailer teamed up with the singer to launch a collection of makeup and fragrance for spring, free of animal-tested products. “I’m really passionate about beauty and great beauty products. I’ve been a vegetarian since I was really young, so all of the products are 100% vegetarian,” the star said in an announcement video. “I’ve always been quite conscientious of animal rights, fair trade, and to me, The Body Shop encompasses all of that.” Lewis’s cruelty-free lineup hits The Body Shop stores and thebodyshop-usa.com starting in April, and on March 26, the singer will livestream an exclusive gig via The Body Shop’s Facebook page. Her X-Factor mentor Simon Cowell must be so proud!

Leona Lewis’s New Video for Lovebird: Watch It Here!

Dec 6, 2012 @ 2:01 pm

We first became smitten with British belter Leona Lewis in 2007, when her bouncy hit “Bleeding Love” made its way to U.S. radio waves, and five years later, she’s still going strong! Lewis just released the video for her newest song, “Lovebird,” which tells the story of needing to escape a suffocating relationship, despite still being in love. In the clip (watch it above!), Leona pays homage to nature’s most colorful birds, re-creating their vivid feathers with flowing dresses and capes, and creatively nodding to their notable facial markings with bejeweled eyes and multi-colored shadows. She even inhabits a cage—but will she break free by the end of the track? Watch the full video above to find out, and visit itunes.com to purchase the tune and listen to more of her music!

Every year, the Pantone Color Institute releases the top 10 hues that will color fashion for the upcoming season. For Spring 2011, designers are using bold hues reminiscent of Africa, India, Peru and Turkey. “This time, everything is a little more exotic,” Pantone’s executive director Leatrice Eiseman said. And some of our favorite celebrities have already graced the red carpet wearing the bright, citrus tones: Lea Michele in Beeswax Yellow, Ashley Olsen in Regatta Blue, Jenna Fischer in Honeysuckle Coral and Leona Lewis in Peapod Green.
