The Hunger Games: Elizabeth Banks Would Try on Lenny Kravitz’s Clothes

Elizabeth Banks revealed which cast member of The Hunger Games had the best off-screen wardrobe at the Los Angeles premiere last week, and it’s not Prabal Gurung-wearing Jennifer Lawrence or Dolce & Gabbana-clad Liam Hemsworth. It’s Lenny Kravitz, a.k.a. Cinna the Stylist! The actress, who stars as Effie Trinket in the movie, said that she’d regularly pop into his hotel room to slip into his wardrobe. “He had all his tour clothes there and we would go and try them all on,” she said. “Let’s be honest, who has better clothes than Lenny Kravitz? New Hunger Games Clip: Katniss Meets Cinna!

Katniss: “So, you’re here to make me look pretty?”
Cinna: “I’m here to help you make an impression.”

And so they meet! Lionsgate just released this new 44-second clip from The Hunger Games featuring the first time Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) encounters her transformative gold eyeliner-wearing stylist, Cinna (Lenny Kravitz). This makeover is one of the most pivotal moments in the book—“I want to do something that they’re going to remember,” Cinna tells her—and the first glimpse here provides even more anticipation for seeing the movie when it opens nationwide March 23rd. The Hunger Games Casts Lenny Kravitz as Cinna

While many of the main characters like Katniss, Gale, Peeta and Haymitch have been cast in The Hunger Games trilogy, we’ve been waiting to see who will play the young, flashy stylists. While his partner Portia has yet to be revealed, Kravitz will fill the pivotal role of Cinna, who takes the spotlight as the creative force behind Katniss’ (Jennifer Lawrence) intense style transformation and risk-taking opening ceremonies ensemble. Other than his appearance in 2009′s Precious, Kravitz has little other recent screen time, which will undoubtedly lead to speculation on how he’ll portray the innovative, friendly stylist we fell in love with in the books.  Do you think Kravitz will make a good Cinna?  Tell us in the comments below and click “see the photos” to see the rest of the cast!
