Sarah Jessica Parker Sings on Glee! Watch the Video

Sep 28, 2012 @ 11:34 am

It’s Friday, which means two things: It’s almost the weekend, and, more importantly, Glee aired last night! Sarah Jessica Parker made her debut as a fashion editor on the season’s second episode, and the song-and-dance number—in either her fabulous office or a giant fashion closet—that we’d hoped for became a reality. SJP, Kurt (Chris Colfer), and Lea Michele‘s Rachel pranced and piquéd their way through a gaggle of gorgeous clothing and accessories while singing a mashup of “The Way You Look Tonight” and “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile,” a song Parker should be quite familiar with considering she played the title role in Annie during the musical’s original Broadway run. It was basically perfect. Watch the clip above and see for yourself!

Watch: Glee’s Rachel Berry Shows Sexy Side in Britney Spears Episode

Sep 21, 2012 @ 12:28 pm

Glee’s second Britney Spears-inspired episode aired last night, and all we can say is Gimme More! The “Britney 2.0” tribute amped up the sex appeal in a big way—Lea Michele’s Rachel Berry traded in her knee-highs and pleats in favor of a revealing black minidress and cherry pout for her Bob Fosse-esque “Oops…I Did It Again” rendition, all in an effort to prove to hardcore NYATA dance instructor Cassandra July (Kate Hudson) that she’s not just a one-note nice girl. July may be tough on the college freshman but we think Britney would be very proud—from the belt-it-out singing to the steamy dancing. (Smoke machines? Yes!) Watch Lea’s racy performance above and tell us: What do you think of Rachel’s sexy style?

Deep V Dresses Have Stars Taking the Plunge

As summer transitions into fall, there’s one silhouette celebrities keep reaching for—the ultra-deep V. “I’m always trying to push the boundaries,” Jenna Dewan-Tatum told InStyle.com of her Naeem Khan look at the designer’s fashion show during New York Fashion Week. “Everyone always tries to hold me back, like, ‘Jen, be a little bit more closed.’ This is my nice happy medium.” Zoe Saldana (in Gucci), Nicole Richie (in Maria Lucia Hohan), Lea Michele (in Emilio Pucci), and Malin Akerman (in J. Mendel) seem to agree, all wearing their own interpretations of the exposed look in the past two weeks. “The deep V is a tricky look to pull off but it really plays to proportion and lengthens the body,” celebrity stylist Taylor Jacobson, who dresses Kate Beckinsale and Ashley Benson, told InStyle.com. Her tip: “Make sure to try on before you buy, and stick to delicate jewelry pieces to keep the look classy.” (You’ll notice each of the stars above are necklace-free, hint hint.) Dewan-Tatum also suggests walking out the door with some extra confidence. “You just have to work it,” she said. “Just own it. It doesn’t matter what your shape is. Everyone can wear a version of this and feel comfortable.” Inspired yet? Go for it!

Lea Michele Lands L’Oréal Contract

Sep 17, 2012 @ 2:24 pm

Lea Michele has been revealed as the newest face of L’Oréal! Following in the footsteps of Beyoncé, Gwen Stefani, and Jennifer Lopez, the Glee star’s ads will be unveiled later this month. No stranger to the campaign circuit, Michele took a modeling turn in playful Candie’s images earlier this year, we think the brunette beauty is a perfect choice. With Season 4 of Glee having just premiered last week, the 26-year-old actress is seemingly having a fantastic fall.

Glee Returns! Rachel Gets a New Wardrobe and Blaine Sings

Sep 14, 2012 @ 11:45 am

Glee returned last night for its fourth season premiere! We missed watching Lea Michele‘s Rachel Berry stomp around McKinley High, though we did enjoy seeing her brand new NYATA wardrobe, including leotards for dance classes with Kate Hudson‘s Cassandra July and pencil skirts by Milly. Meanwhile, down in Lima, we’re happy to report that the rising seniors are ready to fill Rachel’s Mary Janes, none more than Blaine (Darren Criss), who took the lead with this effervescent rendition of Imagine Dragons’s “It’s Time” (watch it above!). In true Blaine form, Criss sings, dances, and works one of his trademark vests on the high school’s back stairwell, all to say a sweet “goodbye” to his boyfriend, Kurt (Chris Colfer), who (spoiler alert!) made his way to New York by the end of the show. Tell us: Did you love last night’s premiere? And what do you think of Rachel’s new style?
