Even Barbie and Ken are fans of The Hunger Games! Just in time for holiday gifting, four of Panem’s residents are getting a Barbie makeover, complete with each character’s new Catching Fire ensembles. But this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Jennifer Lawrence in doll form — last April, Barbie created a mini-Katniss Everdeen, clad in her trademark getup and ever-essential bow and arrow kit. This time, Peeta Mellark, Finnick Odair, and Effie Trinket are also getting the mini-me treatment, and true to canon, Effie’s doll is pure glamour. Find the full range at barbiecollector.com, priced at $25 per doll — we think they’d be a perfect holiday gift for both Barbie and Hunger Games enthusiasts alike.

Oversized, gem-encrusted statement necklaces and arm-party baubles made us fall in love with jewelry line Dannijo, but now the brand is trying something a bit more dainty. Actress Rashida Jones (who is old friends with Danielle and Jodie Snyder, the sisters behind the New York-based jewelry label) has collaborated with the brand on a capsule collection called Fine by Dannijones. Last week the trio hosted a dinner at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles to celebrate the launch of the capsule, attended by Anne Hathaway, Amy Poehler, Aubrey Plaza, Maya Rudolph, Angela Lindvall, and more — all who marveled over the charming adornments. The 18-piece line consists of delicate gold jewels meant to be worn everyday, and includes ears cuffs, stackable rings, bracelets, and chain necklaces featuring tiny charms like pineapples, arrows, palm trees, and unicorns. The Dannijo x Rashida Jones collection reflects the ease of Rashida’s California upbringing combined with the sophistication of Dannijo’s urban girl. The main idea behind the line? To create jewelry you never have to take off. Out today, Fine by Dannijones ranges from $98 to $598, and you can pick it up at dannijo.com.
Five-time Grammy Award-winning artist Celine Dion may be in the midst of promoting her new album “Loved Me Back To Life” (which you can pick up on iTunes), but she’s also taking time out of her busy schedule to launch her first watch collection for QVC. Her new line, Celine Dion Quintessential Timepieces ($99-$249), is stylish and sophisticated — much like the superstar herself. The singer has always admired watches and what they symbolize, making the collection a natural fit. “Watches are a reminder that time is one of the most precious gifts we have,” Dion said. Launching on QVC today, the collection features elegant design elements and unique accents that embody bold and feminine styles, many of the over 20 designs complete with Swarovski crystals. From classic leather band watches to larger boyfriend styles in rose and yellow gold, there is a Dion timepiece to suit anyone’s style. We love the sleek look of the wear-with-anything watches. Pick up the limited-edition collection now on QVC.com.
Ever since H&M announced its collaboration with super-hip French designer Isabel Marant, we’ve been counting down the days until its November 14th debut, and that day has finally arrived! The line includes clothing, shoes, and jewelry, all inspired by the most beloved and iconic pieces from Marant’s career. “There are a lot of people that send me really super sweet letters but cannot afford my regular collection. This was a very good opportunity to send them back the love I am receiving from them,” Marant told InStyle. The designer has assembled an eclectic mix of must-have pieces with her trademark bohemian flair that includes everything from T-shirts to sweatshirts, tailored outerwear to dresses, and chunky knits to sleek boots and bohemian necklaces ($25 to $400). “I think this is very Parisian: You dress up, but don’t pay too much attention to it, and you still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude,” Marant said of her designs. “I aim at creating something real – something women want to wear in their everyday lives.” Marant didn’t leave anyone out of the mix — the capsule also contains an array of men’s and children’s clothing, marking the first time the designer has created menswear. Need a plan of attack when shopping the massive collection? We’ve assembled our favorite items from the line to help you out. Shop the Isabel Marant for H&M collection in stores now and at hm.com.
Jennifer Love Hewitt is designing a maternity line! The mother-to-be (she’s due next month) recently collaborated with A Pea in the Pod to create a 15-piece capsule collection featuring casual pieces from maxi dresses, leggings, soft tees, to a French terry jacket. We weren’t surprised when we found out that the 34-year-old actress designed a collection with the maternity wear retailer, she kind of hinted at it when we caught up with Hewitt at the Pamper’s Love, Sleep, & Play event in New York City this past August. “A Pea in the Pod has kept me very, very stylish and comfortable which has been nice,” she said. “I have enjoyed finding my maternity clothes, I still do a mixture of maternity and non-maternity, it’s been nice to find good pieces that have sort of fit the bump well.”
As for her personal maternity style, Hewitt let us in on the secret to dressing while pregnant and you’d be surprised to learn what she discovered. “What I’ve really realized is that the bigger you get, the better to go a little bit tighter in the clothing because there is a purpose for it,” she said. “Otherwise you end up looking like you’re in this gigantic tent and you’re this floating tiny head with this big body,” she laughed. Hewitt isn’t the first celebrity to design a capsule collection with A Pea in the Pod, she joins Nicole Richie, who launched her boho chic maternity line “Nicole” back in 2009, and Heidi Klum, whose line ”Lavish” came out in 2010. Not bad company! We don’t have long to wait for Hewitt’s baby to arrive, but we have till March when her spring loungewear and weekend line, “L By Jennifer Love Hewitt,” hits A Pea in the Pod and select Destination Maternity stores and online at apeainthepod.com.
Alexander McQueen’s Skull Scarf Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary With A Buggy Update From Damien HirstNov 13, 2013 @ 10:43 am
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the brand’s iconic skull scarf, Alexander McQueen has collaborated with British artist Damien Hirst to launch an exclusive collection of scarves in honor of the original design. Since making it’s debut in McQueen’s spring 2003 Irere collection, the scarf has become a signature accessory of the house seen on a multitude of celebrities — Beyoncé, Johnny Depp, Kim Kardashian, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and Nicole Richie to name a few — and it’s popularity shows no sign of letting up. One of the most coveted accessories of the past decade, the scarf is also a lasting symbol of the spirit of McQueen himself, who passed away in 2010. The Damien Hirst x Alexander McQueen scarf collection consists of 30 designs, each adapted from Hirst’s Entomology series. Butterflies, bugs, spiders and other insects have been worked to form kaleidoscopic geometric shapes, laid out to create the trademark McQueen skull motif in a variety of different designs. We are loving this new take on the house’s classic piece! Shop the limited-edition collection starting November 15th, with prices ranging from $515 to $1175, at Alexander McQueen stores worldwide and on alexandermcqueen.com.
