Diane Von Furstenberg Collaborates on a Line of Brazilets!

Dec 13, 2011 @ 5:12 pm

At a mere $5, brazilets might be the easiest way to make your wishes come true!  The brazilet is based on a 200-year old tradition from mystical Bahia, Brazil and is meant to be worn tied around the wrist in three knots—the wearer makes a wish associated with each knot and when the bracelet breaks and falls off, the wishes are supposed to come true.  Fans of the Brazilets include stars like Anne Hathaway, Lauren Conrad and Kristen Stewart, and now Live Worldly, which makes the bracelets, has teamed up with Diane Von Furstenberg on a line featuring signature DVF phrases, like “Be the Woman You Want to Be.”  Best yet, 20% of all the proceeds will be given to Plant a Billion Trees, which benefits the Brazilian rainforest when you buy them for $5 at liveworldly.com or Diane Von Furstenberg stores.

Carolina Herrera’s Bella Swan Wedding Dress: Where to Find It!

Nov 29, 2011 @ 11:30 am

The Carolina Herrera-designed wedding dress Bella Swan wore in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 can be yours! And we’re talking the real thing. The designer confirmed that she will offer the gown at four of her boutiques—New York, Los Angeles Bal Harbour, and Dallas—starting this January. Just as Herrera took six months and four seamstresses to custom-create the crepe satin and French Chantilly lace gown just for Kristen Stewart, she will make the piece for interested customers entirely by hand. The estimated cost will be around $35,000—and if that’s too steep, Alfred Angelo offers an official replica for $799, available now. See more photos of the bridal look in the gallery.

Snow White or Katniss Everdeen: Which Braid Do You Prefer?

Nov 22, 2011 @ 1:30 pm

Two of next year’s blockbusters will put braids on the big screen in a big way. For Kristen Stewart‘s gritty take on the Snow White tale, Snow White and the Huntsman, she pulls her hair back into braided pony. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence works a loose side braid as Katniss Everdeen for the upcoming movie adaptation of the bestselling book The Hunger Games. Both actresses dyed their hair darker for the parts as well. So, which braid do you prefer? Let us know by voting in the poll below!
