With record setting bids coming in from Elizabeth Taylor’s Christie’s auction, even celebrities are getting in on the action! This afternoon Kim Kardashian took home a set of Lorraine Schwartz bangles for $64,900.  The reality star, who conducted the last interview with Elizabeth Taylor in a special report for Harper’s Bazaar, is also close with the jewelry designer. “I never thought I could own a piece of Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry,” says Kardashian.  ”I was so thrilled to win these bangles because they were hers, designed by my good friend Lorraine Schwartz and they are jade.”  The legend about jade says it carries the energy of the wearer. “It’s not just a piece of jewelry,” says Kardashian.  ”She wore them constantly during the final years of her life and I believe they carry her spirit.” Click through the gallery below to see what other big tickets items sold at auction!
