The Best On and Off-Stage Fashion at the EMAs

Americans have the Grammys and the VMAs. Across the pond? Music’s biggest night is the MTV European Music Awards. This Saturday in Madrid, stars like Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Shakira were just a few of the famous faces to grace the EMAs and later sing their hearts out. While some stars opted for simple, pretty dresses at last night’s Video Music Awards, many others kept the tradition of shocking style moments alive. Nicki Minaj rocked out in tons of brightly colored spandex, Ke$ha sourced her dress material (garbage bags) from Home Depot, Lady Gaga’s final outfit (which she donned to accept Video of the Year) was a dress made of meat(!) courtesy of designer Franc Fernandez, Cher channeled her “Turn Back Time” days in a sheer body stocking and Rihanna sported a fiery bob complete with headdress while performing on-stage with Eminem. Rihanna & Ke$ha Team Up For Tour

Earlier this year, Rihanna called Ke$ha the “new It girl” in music, and now the pop sensations are joining forces on a 25-city tour! Ke$ha, who took the airwaves by storm with her hit singles “Tik Tok” and “Blah Blah Blah,” will open for Rihanna’s “Last Girl on Earth” North American tour, kicking off July 2 in Seattle. As if summer isn’t hot enough! Tickets go on sale this Friday on LiveNation.com—check out Rihanna’s official Web site for the full list of concert dates. In the meantime, catch RiRi perform on American Idol‘s results show tomorrow night.
