Katie Cassidy’s New Darker ‘Do!

Katie Cassidy, also known as Gossip Girl‘s Juliet Sharp, debuted a fresh brunet look during New York Fashion Week, an update from her ultra-sunny blond color. “I’m about to shoot a film, so I switched it up,” she told us at the Tracy Reese fashion show. “I feel a bit more mysterious and sexy, but I also think people react to me differently. In a way, they almost take me more seriously as a brunet then as a blond!” The expert colorists at the Valery Joseph Salon in New York City were responsible for the new hue. And Cassidy isn’t the only one going darker for fall—Julianne Moore also recently traded her ginger hair for a darker ‘do. See who else dyed their hair this year in the gallery!

Who Is the New Gossip Girl Star?

There’s a fresh face on the set of Gossip Girl: Tika Sumpter. The actress will play Raina Thorpe, the daughter of a powerful business tycoon and a possible love interest to Chuck Bass. Sumpter, who most recently played Layla on One Life to Live, is off to a stylish start—she was spotted yesterday outside of Bergdorf Goodman shooting a scene with Chace Crawford, who plays Nate Archibald. We can’t wait to see what happens! Gossip Girl returns with new episodes on the CW January 24.

Hollywood Style Awards’ Red Carpet: Glee, Gomez and More!

Glee stars Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Jayma Mays showed up at the Hollywood Style Awards in Los Angeles last night to support fellow castmate Cory Monteith (left, with Selena Gomez), who was honored with the men’s Style Icon to Watch award (the 28-year-old actor wore Burberry for the occasion). Other honorees included Katie Cassidy for women’s Style Icon to Watch, Odette Yustman for One to Watch, Kimberly Ovitz for Emerging Designer and Cher Coulter for Stylist of the Year, while attendees included Camilla Belle, Emily Blunt and Kate Bosworth. Serena is on the lookout for Chuck at her mother Lily’s request, and back in New York, Nate meets a young student, Juliet (played by Katie Cassidy), who helps him scheme a plan to win back Serena’s heart.
