Katherine Heigl is taking her love of animals to the next level! While the sky won’t actually light up in an azure haze, the term refers to the second rising of the full moon within the same month. There won’t be another blue moon until July 2015, so to celebrate the lunar event, we rounded up our six favorite half-moon manicures. The circular pattern is a throwback to Old Hollywood, and was a staple among silver screen sirens of the ’30s. Congratulations, Katherine Heigl! The One For the Money actress and her husband, Josh Kelley, have adopted a daughter, People reports. The new addition to the family joins three-year-old Naleigh, a little girl the couple adopted from South Korea two years ago. “Josh and I started talking about adoption before we were even engaged,” Heigl told Scholastic Parent & Child earlier this year. The retro-inspired style may seem challenging, but you can create the look at home with two of your favorite nail polish shades, using a few French manicure tip stickers to keep your lines neat.
