All fashion month long, we were treated to some eye candy even before a runway show started. Celebrities turned out to show their support and admiration at the hottest runway shows and we kept a tab on their fashion-focused travels—from New York to Paris. There were some front row regulars like Olivia Palermo, and even Kanye West, but some newbies hit the scene, too. Fashion favorite and Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o and The Wolf of Wall Street star Margot Robbie sat side-by-side yesterday at the Miu Miu show in Paris—one of the last shows of fashion month. And we’d say, it went out with a bang.
This Fashion Month, it looks like we’re keeping up with Kendall. As half-sister to the Kardashian brood, Jenner may be more reserved, quiet, and certainly less girly than the rest, but she definitely made her presence known on the runway, rocking headlines when she walked (exclusively, we might add) at Marc Jacobs—one of the hottest and most highly anticipated shows of New York Fashion Week. With a blunt bob and bleached brows, the 18-year-old reality star-turned-model was barely recognizable. A week later, she crossed the pond and turned up the smolder as she graced the Giles runway at London Fashion Week.
At Paris Fashion Week, she got the angry model stare down pat at Givenchy, with future brother-in-law Kanye West cheering from the sidelines. And most recently, it looked as though she was on Karl Lagerfeld‘s radar, too, landing a coveted spot in the now-famous Chanel “Shopping Center” show. One could argue that her prominent family ties might have something to do with her rising star status, but on the other hand, she seems to be a natural on the runway. Based on merit alone, we’d say she’s killing it on the catwalk. From one prestigious catwalk to the next (as evidenced above), no two looks are the same. Jenner—runway chameleon? Quite possibly!
Designer: Phoebe Philo for Celine
Notable guest: Kanye West
What was it like: A runway crafted out of wooden planks, plus a sprinkling of potted leafy green foliage, alluded to an ecocentric atmosphere at the Celine fall/winter 2014 show.
Why we love this collection: Long, lean streamlined silhouettes, tailored double-breasted coats, and oversize sweaters and trousers indicated a strong fixation on all-things menswear. Yet, there were elements of femininity, including rose-shaped brooches, glass-embroidered dresses, sultry leopard prints, and flowy skirts with thigh-high slits. And while Philo may have taken inspiration from the past, the line-up very much spoke to women of today.
Designer: Alexander Wang for Balenciaga
Notable guest: Kanye West
What was it like: A similar set-up to that of last season: A plain strip flanked by mirrors, which magnified the bold colors and textures from this season’s looks. But what really made headlines was the finale, when supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her super-famous stride closed the show.
Why we love this collection: If there’s any designer who can push a heritage brand into the present and the future, it’s Wang, who just a few weeks ago showcased a very futuristic fall 2014 collection for his namesake line. With Balenciaga, the designer exercised the same mindset and churned out modern takes of pieces that strongly hinted at the past—designer Cristóbal Balenciaga’s past, in fact. Modernized fisherman coats and netted fabrics served as a nod to Balenciaga’s hometown: Getaria, a fishing village in Northern Spain.
Last week Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian on her 33rd birthday in a huge way, and we finally have a better view of her gorgeous ring. Over the weekend the reality star continued her birthday celebration at TAO at The Venetian in Las Vegas, where we got a closer look at her truly stunning rock. Kim’s Lorraine Schwartz-designed engagement ring features a 15-carat, “D-flawless” cushion cut diamond — literally the rarest and most expensive type of diamond on earth. The massive sparkler is also conflict-free, which was important to the couple. Kanye, who was deeply involved in the design process, wanted the diamond to look like it was floating on air. We think he achieved his goal. ”She has the most perfect diamond and she’s a lucky girl, because she has a perfect eye and a perfect diamond,” the ring’s designer Lorraine Schwartz told InStyle about Kim’s bauble. Congratulations again to Kim and Kanye! Now that you’ve seen the rock up close, tell us, what do you think?

Kim Kardashian got the birthday gift of a lifetime. Last night, Kanye West proposed to the reality star at AT&T Park in San Francisco, which he rented out for the occasion. He went big for the statement of love — the stadium’s jumbotron flashed “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!,” while a 50-piece orchestra played Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful” and the rapper’s own song, “Knock You Down.” Kanye popped the question with a 15-carat diamond ring designed by Lorraine Schwartz, and its a stunner. After Kim said yes, fireworks exploded into the sky and their family and friends poured out of the dugouts to celebrate. Congratulations to the couple.

Designer: Alexander Wang
Location: Pier 94
Notable guest(s): Kanye West
What was it like: The thunder-like booms that announced the start of the show were dramatic and unexpected—and even scary (several people jumped in their seats). The audience was separated into two sections on opposite ends of the hall with a convoluted runway that ran in between them and around larger-than-life grid-like geometric sculptures. Cue rap music (explicit language included), and the looks with “Parental Advisory” labeled tops made so much sense.
Why we love this collection: It really embodied Alexander Wang’s main aesthetic: strong, sporty and sexy. But amid the midriff-baring looks, mesh tops and short-shorts, there was a girly side that included ruffle detailing, pleated skirts and baby-blue Mary Jane wedges. Also interesting was what looked like perforated leather was actually cut-outs of his namesake label. On others, “Alexander Wang” is unapologetically splashed across waistbands and tops. It could be shameless self-promotion, but perhaps it could be the beginning of the end of modesty and nondescript clothing.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West finally revealed their daughter’s name! Despite all the speculation that the name would start with a ‘K,’ the new parents went in a different direction by naming their daughter North West, five days after she was born. In March, Kardashian denied rumors that West wanted to name their baby North during a taping of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, but we’re guessing the couple didn’t want to stray too far from that path after all. Congratulations again to the whole family!
