Justin Bieber is the new reigning King of Twitter! The pop star’s loyal legion of Beliebers has propelled him to the top of the Twitterverse with a current tally of 33,348,578 followers, ousting Lady Gaga as the most-followed person on the social media site. (At press time she had 33,339,617 followers.) Bieber has yet to comment on his newly won Twitter crown, but he did celebrate last week when he reached his monumental 33 million mark, creating the hashtag #33millionBeliebers, which of course became a trending topic. That’s the power of the Bieber!

Forbes just released its list of the world’s 25 highest paid musicians, and a few of our favorites made the list! Britney Spears and her $58 million worth of earnings landed her the #7 spot, and Taylor Swift wasn’t far behind, tying for 8th place with Sir Paul McCartney at $57 million. Teen squeal-machine Justin Bieber came in at 10th with $55 million in earnings (and, at 18, is the youngest name on the entire list), and Rihanna placed 12th with $53 million. Who’s #1? Veteran rapper Dr. Dre with a whopping $110 million take-home. All the top-ranking artists have one thing in common: having several business ventures to supplement their musical careers—Britney’s Fantasy Twist, anyone?

Months of preparation, weeks of fittings, days of rehearsals, and hours of beauty primping all led up to forty minutes hard-to-resist fun for last night’s taping of the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York. “It’s a dream come true!” Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio told InStyle.com of her experience, which was made only so much better by the fact she modeled the $2.5 million Floral Fantasy Bra. “This is most desirable, most beautiful, most known show in the world. Every year it gets bigger and better!” And she’s right, it was big—37 models showed off 65 lingerie looks, sashaying down the runway to live music performed by Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, and Rihanna. The pieces were broken up into six groups—kicking off with Circus (Adriana Lima—ever the ringmaster—opened the show), Dangerous Liaisons (set to Rihanna’s “Diamonds” song), Calendar Girls (with Bruno Mars in the background), Pink Is Us (when Justin Bieber serenaded the PINK crew with “Beauty and the Beat”), Silver Screen Angels (Bruno, again), and Angels in Bloom (closing it out with Rihanna’s “Fresh Off The Runway”). Click through to see the highlights, and tune in to watch the complete show December 4th at 10/9c on CBS.
The nominees are out for the 2012 American Music Awards! This year marks the 40th anniversary of the awards show, and we can’t wait to see who takes home the top prizes. Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and One Direction top the most-nominated list with four nominations each, and that’s not all! Click through the gallery to see the rest of the nominees we love, and tune in to watch who wins Sunday, November 18th at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
The lingerie leaders at Victoria’s Secret took to the brand’s Facebook page today to announce the three musical performers who will share the glitter-covered stage with the Angels this December 4 at 10 p.m. EST on CBS. In a more pop-geared turn (compared with last year’s hip-hop dominated performances from Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Nicki Minaj), this year’s trio is Bruno Mars, Rihanna, and Justin Bieber. Traditionally, the looks the models wear are inspired by the performer they follow, so here’s our take on what to expect this year: The angels who walk to Mars (PS, his new single drops tonight at 7 p.m. EST on his YouTube page!) might don sweet, lovely lingerie (because he loves them just the way they are), those who walk after Bieber will likely skew toward come-hither looks (because he wants to be their boyfriend), and those who come after RiRi will probably wear wild-and-sparkly looks dripping in rhinestones and crystals (because she shines bright like a diamond). It should be a spectacle to behold.
