Just when we think we’ve seen it all (on the red carpet), in comes the Haute Couture collections to save us from red carpet ennui! Less than 10 designers, including Elie Saab and Armani Prive (left), showed their custom confections in Paris this year, and their fall collections were super-dramatic and very metallic. Perhaps you’ve been feeling just a wee bit envious of the teens who’ll get to wear Madonna’s 1980′s-inspired juniors line, Material Girl.  If so, buck up: The high-end lingerie brand La Perla has just announced a collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier, the man who designed the trés haute costumes for the singer’s 1990 Blonde Ambition tour. The brand-new capsule collection, due in stores in November, will include a corset, bodysuit, and bras inspired by Madonna’s famous cone bras. All-in-all, it promises to be a far more sophisticated way for grown-up women to indulge in their lingering desire to dress up like Ms. Ciconne and sing along with Vogue.
