Translucent lip glosses have the amazing ability to transform an opaque lipstick or amp up your natural lip color. Jamie Chung (in JewelMint) went for the latter option at the Montblanc-sponsored 24 Hour Plays in Santa Monica, California when she paired a sheer red hue with her summery peach dress. The product she chose was Kevyn Aucoin’s The Lip Gloss in Pasiflora, which is infused with a trio of moisturizing oils — sunflower seed, castor, and lanolin — to keep your pucker hydrated. And don’t judge the color by its first impression! Although it looks like a deep sanguine red in the tube, one swipe imparts a slight tint that can be built upon for added drama. Pick up the color for $29 at nordstrom.com.

The Heart Truth’s annual Red Collection Fashion Show helped kick off New York Fashion Week tonight! Seventeen stars—including the Jenner clan (who presented a united fashion front in Badgley Mischka), fitness expert Jillian Michaels (in Cushnie et Ochs), Jamie Chung (in David Meister), and more—channeled their inner models to strut down the runway in New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom wearing vibrant red dresses by a variety of designers, combining fashion and famous faces to help raise awareness for heart disease. “Losing my mom because she wasn’t healthy really inspired me to live a healthy life,” two-time Red Dress Fashion Show model Minka Kelly (in Oscar de la Renta) told InStyle.com of the event, which was sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, Diet Coke, and WebMD. “It made sense to get involved and to inspire other women to take care of their hearts. This was a very lucky opportunity for me.” And there’s another reason to get involved, which Today anchor Savannah Guthrie (in Carolina Hererra) put best: “Who doesn’t dream of getting glammed up from time to time and having this experience?” Indeed! Click through the gallery to see all of the celebrities who walked the runway.

Our pick for an on-trend look that is perfect for this season’s festivities? Sequins! Take a cue from style setters like Diane Kruger (in Chanel), Hailee Steinfeld (in Erin by Erin Fetherston), Kate Bosworth (in Stella McCartney), and Jamie Chung (in Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet), by choosing a sparkly strapless or nipped waist version. The key to such luster: Pairing the look with simple accessories keeps eyes on the dress and anchors all of that shine. Premium Rush stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jamie Chung, and Dania Ramirez hugged it out at the premiere of their new action flick at the Union Square Regal in New York City last night. Chung Instagrammed a photo of the film’s posters on the way to the event with the caption, “Ahhh butterflies and nerves!” However, there was no need to be nervous—she looked great in cobalt Cushnie et Ochs. There are more pretty, pretty princesses on the way for Once Upon a Time! ABC just announced two more classic royals who will join the show’s second season: Sucker Punch’s Jamie Chung will play Mulan and The Tudors’s Sarah Bolger will star as Sleeping Beauty (a.k.a. Princess Aurora). Though little is known about Chung’s Mulan subplot, we’ve already seen Maleficent in the first season (played by Kristin Bauer van Straten), so we’re guessing she’ll go head-to-head with Bolger’s Aurora. Tune into Once Upon a Time Sunday nights on ABC when it returns this fall. And long live the TV princesses!
