Shop J Brand’s New Denim Colors for a Cause!

Celebrity-favorite denim label J Brand just released a lineup of charity-focused jeans. The company partnered with City Year, a non-profit focused on keeping kids in school, and will donate 100 percent of proceeds from three new colors of its 811 “Mid-Rise Skinny” style to the organization—vine (dark olive brown), plumberry (raspberry red), and apache (pale neutral pink). “Making a difference and giving back to education while keeping kids in school is very important to us here at J Brand,” CEO Jeff Rudes told InStyle.com exclusively. “We’re thrilled to contribute to this cause through the collaboration.” Shop the City Year special jeans for $144 at jbrand.com.

Christopher Kane to Launch Collection With J Brand Jeans

Good news, denim lovers: J Brand just announced that it will collaborate with British designer Christopher Kane to launch a capsule collection for his 2012 resort collection. Kane, who just showed his fall collection during London Fashion Week last weekend, has collaborated with J Brand before—last year, J Brand founder Jeff Rudes recruited Kane for the labels 5×5 project, which tapped five British designers to create a pair of jeans (Kane’s camo style, shown left, retailed for $500). After their first successful partnership, Rudes is excited for what’s to come: “We are delighted to be working with Christopher to build a long term viable denim business with him,” Rudes said in a statement. J Brand has previously partnered with Proenza Schouler, Hussein Chalayan, Henry Duarte, and Erdem.

Proenza Schouler Debuts J Brand Jeans on Runway

Proenza Schouler debuted the jeans from their exclusive collaboration with cult denim label J Brand at their Fall 2010 show last night. The high-rise skinny jeans are made of Japanese stretch denim that is graphic-printed and then hand-painted to accentuate texture and dimension. “Everyone we know wears J Brand. It was an easy choice,” Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough said in a statement. The limited-edition jeans will hit stores mid-July, and we’re definitely predicting a waiting list!
