Pippa Middleton in the Issa Dress That Won’t Quit

The royal blue Issa dress Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge made famous when she announced her engagement to Prince William in November 2010 is back again! This time, it’s on her little sister. Pippa Middleton chose the same flattering wrap design to attend her friend’s wedding in Scotland this weekend, only in a raspberry red color, and added a matching black and rose floral fascinator. Ironically, when Issa reissued the design in the different hue, the label made a nod to the elder Middleton’s big moment, naming it “Royal Engagement Dress” (available for $555 at net-a-porter.com). Of course, Pippa could have chosen any other look, but why mess with a good thing, right?

Runway Looks We Love: Issa

New York Fashion Week may be over, but London Fashion Week has just begun! Over the weekend, the new Issa collection took the runway, and we could imagine die-hard fans like Kate and Pippa Middleton in every one of the label’s spring 2012 looks. Designer Daniella Issa Helayel served up plenty of pretty dresses for day, night, weekend, including her signature curve-hugging liquid jersey creations. Playful prints like bananas and palm leaves, inspired by the designers’ hometown Rio de Janiero, added a dose of color to the catwalk. See our favorite looks from the Issa show in the gallery.

Catherine Middleton had a busy weekend! While we were out celebrating the Fourth of July, the Duchess of Cambridge skipped from Ottawa to Quebec to Prince Edward Island, wearing some great designer outfits along the way. Some of her picks included an Alexander McQueen sailor-inspired look, a purple Issa dress reminiscent of her sapphire blue engagement announcement frock, a gray Catherine Walker shift, and a blue dress by Erdem Moralioglu, a Canadian-born, London-based designer. With so many looks, it’s hard to choose a favorite!

Bennett espadrilles.

8 Days Until the Royal Wedding: Updates You Need to Know!

We’re in the final stretch of the royal wedding countdown: only eight days to go! Kate Middleton and Prince William are keeping themselves busy by picking out their official royal wedding photographer, while the city of London is gearing up for the big day by rolling out the British flags. Libelula’s Sophie Cranston also issued a statement denying that she’s making the princess-to-be’s wedding gown, and now the public’s attention re-focused on Issa, especially because Middleton stepped out in a black wrap dress by the designer (shown) to go shopping earlier this week. London Fashion Week took over the fashion world last weekend. Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth sat front and center at the Burberry fashion show, which ended with real snow falling from the ceiling.
